He claimed every hero would always be unlockable with earnable in game currency and offered a $10 monthly subscription to multiply that earned currency, incentivizing people to subscribe because hero unlocks were a lot of that currency, and it was also how you paid into playing ranked matches. Heroes are now 20 dollars, and the in game currency does nothing except unlock cosmetics.
