I bought this game by influence of the award winning published author DouglasDouglas, friend of ParkzerParkzer (during a sale taht was at 0.99€) and I don't reget it.
The game is full of insane gameplay, I shoot the ball, i think it's not going to hit anything and then it hits 4 orange pegs and enters the basket resulting in me bursting with euphoria

As a learning project from someone trying to finish their first unity game I think it's not bad, but it is not good enough yet to be a game that is sold for money in an international shop, this is more the kind of game you send to your friends for free for them to try.

I guess the 2 main problems is that the level design is not very enjoyable and the controls are too frustrating. I did like the shader used.

The game is good but buy it at a discount because you can still play the main story but all the multiplayer and coop stopped working when ubisoft closed the server, so you only have access to half the content.

The main selling point of this games is how well they implemented an entire story focused on stealth, which is a very nice change from the modern games that are either very fast paced or you can just walk and shoot without thinking, even in the hardest difficulties

Also remember to put the following arguments on the launch options so it doesn't crash for not having access tothe servers:
-offline -offline_mode -nointro

I'm impressed!
I liked the first Life is Strange, so I gave this one a shot expecting to be disappointed because the second game of a franchise isn't always good, but this game is so much better than the first one.

After playing this games it feels like the first one was an experiment, that the developers where trying to learn how to make a game in this genre, testing what worked and this game shows how much they've learned, the story is so much more complex, there are so many more complex and different characters, the way the game shows you different lives and the struggles of different people, some small and some big, makes you think about life. I say this only being on episode 4, I wanted to wait untill the end of the game to write a fair review but the game really impressed me.

PS: works very well on the steam deck
PPS: this game is slow, people who are addicted to dopamine and constant stimulation will not like it

How you should play the Life is Strange franchise:
1. Play the first game
2. Play the first episode of this game
3. Play Captain spirit
4. Play the rest of this game
5. Ignore the games from the franchise that were made by Deck Nine instead of DOTNOD

Amazing graphics, great story, but no gameplay. It's like watching a great movie that stops playing when you stop pressing w. Most casual players will like this game but I would understand if some don't

Works well on linux. If you want to play on steam deck you'll have to put the graphics so low that it loses most of it's charm (since the graphics is a big part of why people like this game)

I only played the first mission of the online mode, I don't like rockstar's online games, but this game is more that worth it to buy just for the singleplayer story. Also if you though that gta V story was kinda meh and you didn't connect with the characters, this one is much better

This game is old, but it still holds up very well by today's standards. Still great and very worth to play.

Portal 2 is even better but if you care about story I recommend playing this one first.

I haven't tested this one on steam deck, but it got a bunch of patches after the release, just like portal 2 and portal 2 works perfectly on steam deck

It is a classic, but unlike many classics, this one holds up so well by today standards

The characters are so funny

Valve really made sure that it would work perfectly on steam deck

TLDR: Some people may like this game, but if you're here because you like the newer far cries, you're probably not going to like this game at all, it's a very different type of game

I wish there was a mixed recommendation because I'm really divided between recommending this game or not.

I played this game because I love far cry and want to play every one that exists (I'm only missing far cry 1 and far cry primal by now) and because I've heard many people say this game was one of the best far crys ever made, specially when far cry 5 came out and people were comparing details that the 2 had and the 5 didn't.

I finally got to the conclusion that everyone saying that this is a great far cry is purely speaking out of nostalgia or hate stories and all they care about is to go around shooting people with no reason or purpose. From the knowledge I have of old games, I totally believe that this game may have been a masterpiece when it came out, but it really shows it's age by modern standards.

The entire game is:
- go to the place marked on the map
- that place is always on the furthest part of the map possible from where you got the mission
- have to stop 10 times on your way because every 20 seconds there's a random car that won't leave you alone and won't stop shooting at you, so you have to kill everyone on that car
- get to the place and shoot everyone there
- get a new mission and repeat

It really feels like a game from a small indie studio learning how to make games:
- the story is very simple
- the voice acting fells like it was made by a group of friends trying to make their project on a low budget instead of actual voice actors
- you have to manually save the game and if you die you go to the last save (forgetting to save is your worst nightmare)
- if your car gets stuck on a rock you can't push it away like on future far crys
- the enemy AI is weird, they perfectly hit you with a shotgun from a very big distance and they can be walking away from you without looking at you and still hit you while shooting

It's amazing how much different far cry 3 is, it has so many features that don't exist in this game like:
- autosave
- hunting and crafting
- weapon attachments
- being able to climb certain parts of the map
- being able to parachute
- a good story and more interesting missions
- levels and a skill tree (this one may be liked or disliked depending on the person)

positive parts of this game:
+ very lightweight, it's less than 5gb total
+ works well on steam deck (the audio of phone calls doesn't work well and I suggest changing some of the buttons, specially turning off the giro aim)

I'm proud to say that I finished the main story with 2375 deaths.

This games teaches you a life lesson, which is that you shouldn't be afraid of failure and shouldn't let failure stop you from trying. The games celebrates failure, because the more you fail, the closer you are to succeed. (Like that quote that says that the master has failed more times than the beginner has even tried)

As a person with no platforming experience, my entire experience on this games was a cycle of the following thoughts:
- "What? Are they crazy? How does the game expect me to do this?"
- "Wait, that was actually very close"
- "OMG, I CAN'T BELIEVE I DID IT"

I have to say that I wasn't able to run this game on my computer for some reason and ended up playing it on the steam deck.
I fully recommend playing this game with a controller.

Stuff I liked:
+ great art style
+ good story
+ good music

Stuff I think could be better:
- At the end, the part that has many checkpoints, checkpoint 9 was evil, I understand the bonus levels being harder, but the main story should have merci on the players
- the style chosen for the 3d map where the levels are selected doesn't really match the style of the rest of the game

Edit: Forgot to say... this game IS HARD, if you're a very casual player, have that in consideration
