I very much enjoyed playing the game so far. The new lighting update was amazing. I understand it is in early access so this is my one time that I can request additions.
Could you please add in weather, a thunderstorm would look so good.

As others said the music when a leviathan attacks does just alert me that they are around and maybe aggroed.
In my opinion orange was not the color of subnautica, it clashes with blue so much, so I do hope for a variety of color pallets. The orange grass made me feel less like I was underwater, along with the big cactus tree, it feels like desert themed but you have to get oxygen.
I did feel that the story was very "go here next" rather than explore the area and discover the world and happen upon the sites. When I was playing subnautica 1, I pieced together the story was more show, don't tell. I also felt that the locations were too close to each other.
Another positive was the base layout, it allows for huge customization but it is harder to make big rooms. I am again saddened that they are trying to make a backstory for the main character, "this person was your friend", below zero did that and it was off putting. But they switched back to a silent protagonist, yay! Please don't go too hard into telling a story, Subnautica's greatest talent is survival and discovery.

Lastly, I'm sure its been said a thousand times I'm sure but it was already hard to kill animals in subnautica 1 and you had to go out of your way or you were really mad, please don't take away our damaging items. When a stalker bit me a few too many times, being able to turn around and slash back was refreshing. Overall, the game seems promising, please keep up the work.
