A poor attempt at pretending to be a standalone game.

I honestly don’t understand the positive reviews. This feels like a half-baked expansion that somehow escaped and got sold as a standalone game.

Parkour? Yes, technically it exists — in a tiny micro-city that’s maybe 3% of the map. The rest of the world is empty and clearly built to justify cars… which are awful. Driving feels like a crash test simulator where you constantly smash into everything. In a game famous for parkour, the developers somehow decided that vehicle trials are more important than parkour challenges. That alone feels like a bad joke.

The “Beast” sounds cool on paper, but in reality it’s only useful against basic zombies. Elite enemies just delete you. No power fantasy — just suffering. The Beast has many cool abilities that you can’t actually use, because the meter is never full.

The story is so bad it turns into accidental comedy, but its default for Dying Light.

Why wasn’t this just a DLC like for Dying Light 1?
Because that’s exactly what it is — only sold as a full game.
