A game about being totally awesome in space. You'll get straightforward tasks like steal an object or assassinate a target, and then fly yourself over to the ship where the target is. From there it's like a choose your own adventure game. Bust in with a shotgun and kill everyone who moves? Sure! Hijack another ship and ram it into the ship your target is in to create an entrance? Of course! Execute a daring escape with a hostage by depressurizing the room you're in, sending you, your kidnappee, and your foes into the void, and then remotely controlling your ship to pick yourself up? Absolutely! Create a million crazy stories all unique to you, in one game.

I really, really wanted to like Just Cause 3, as I absolutely adored Just Cause 2. And the reason I DON'T like this one isn't because they strayed from the formula for what made JC2 great, or anything like that. It simply does not run properly on my machine. I can only speak from my personal perspective, so I won't make any sweeping statements about the optimization, but I CAN say that the game runs poorly and crashes frequently even while playing on low-medium settings, with my system being just under the RECOMMENDED system requirements. Very, very frustrating.

If you're going to purchase the game, absolutely be aware of how Steam's refund policy works, as a favour to yourself.

This game seems so innocuous. You could be forgiven for looking at the menus and simplistic graphics and thinking this is going to be something awful...but you'd be so, SO wrong. I can't recall another game with such straightforward mechanics, but which pulls them off so well. Your well-timed mouse clicks will result in a symphony of martial artistry, and you will rejoice. A perfect game to boot up every few months for a good time. Buy. This. Game.
