A cute and relaxing game for when you want to lean back, look at a nice town, and most importantly, play as a lovely mouse. 😊

It's a relaxing game without any combat or time limits, explore a little town at night, collect hidden light-bulbs all over town, and do some little quests that range from fetch-quests, finding people or doing little "mini-games".

None of it is very hard, even the "collect all light-bulbs" achievement, which at first gave me "collect all Riddler trophies vibes" is perfectly doable thanks to unlockable in-game help.

And that's one thing the game does very nicely in general: It manages to find a great balance between giving you a task, but not making the task obnoxious. You see a puzzle which makes you think "oh, it's one of those!", and you don't like "those"? Don't worry: The game will either make it relatively easy, or split things up nicely. No constant retries or doing the same thing for too long at a time.

I really liked that.

So, if you search a challenge, I assume this game might not be for you. But if you want to play as a cute mouse, enjoy a quaint, relaxing town at night, find hidden collectibles and listen to relaxing music while doing all of this, I recommend this to you. I enjoyed it, and I'd love to, hopefully, meet Lila again in another game!

I guess this game just really isn't *for me*.

I started over three times. The visuals are very nice. But everything feels so slow. I can't even really say what the problem is, I just can't keep up the motivation.

I thought "maybe this kind of battles just isn't for me", but then Baldur's Gate 3 is similar enough and really awesome.

But yeah, I assume it's just a "me" thing. Sadly my short time also means I can't judge the story fairly. But if I were to go for a game like this, I'd go for Baldur's Gate 3 instead.

Maybe I'll give it another try at some point!

(I mainly played this on Playstation, thus the short playtime here.)

I played Bioshock 1, 2 and this in succession. And sadly I have to say, I played this one six or seven hours or so, and I fear I won't finish it.

The one thing speaking for this one are its visuals. The city looks lovely, the style is awesome and something not many games offered. The old-fashioned, beautiful stores make this really visually pleasing.

Sadly, as soon as you're used to that, I wasn't much of a fan anymore.

The main gripes for me were being limited to two weapons at a time, where Bioshock 1 and 2 were just crazy, shooting fun that didn't give a bit about "realism", but, most importantly: Booker.
Booker is, as far as I was into the game, just not a very likable character. The typical "I do stuff for me, and I don't really care about politics" person.

Bioshock 1 and 2 had cool stories and lovely fun shooter gameplay in it. This one tries new things that just don't work *for me*. A pity, considering that I love the style. But the main character is just not my cup of tea.

(That "Murder of Crows" is one of the most satisfying and cool skills in all shooter games I've played, though!)

I like roguelike games in general. (To be fair, roguelites even more)
And after about 90% of the ones I've played being, to some degree, card- and deckbuilding games, this was a nice, refreshing alternative.
Yes, yes, in theory your attacks here are cards, as well, and like in many similar games, you can change, remove and upgrade said cards, or collect "artifacts" that change how you interact with the gameplay.

But along with those cards, your ship's size, build and movement are the most important things here. It's not just about how to attack, but where to move to evade, plan in advance according to your deck and the enemy's moves.

And while I'm certainly not GOOD at that, I DO enjoy the core gameplay.

And several unlockable ships, which mix up the movement tactic you'll need, and characters, who basically act as your decks or deck classes, certainly give it replay value.

Add cute animal characters and an overarching little story to that, and, as much as I suck at it, I enjoy this game.

Another game of which I'd buy an artbook of, if there was one.

Riggs is awesome! We need more cool opossum girls!

A visually very nicely done remake of the original game.
The gameplay is, as which the game it's based on, very simple, that's something you need to consider. It's really just basic jumping, running, and pogo-jumping on enemies.

There are no more complicated mechanics, unlocks or whatever. But if you just want a simple platformer featuring cute cartoon characters you love, this does a nice job at that.

As said, the visuals are really nice, to me. There's a money bin menu where you can look at all the money you collected and, and that's really important to me, it has an easy mode, which not only makes things easier in general, but also does away with "lives", a concept I personally consider outdated anyway.

So, yeah. If you liked the original game and want a visual overhaul, this is it. If you liked the original game, but it was too hard for you: the easy mode helps with that.

I assume there are many better platformers these days, but if you like Ducktales, this does a totally fine job.

If you enjoy railshooters and want to combine that with undressing a ton of schoolgirls, well, this should be an easy decision. 😁

Seriously, I don't know much more to say about this. It's fanservice and tons of underwear, school uniforms and school swimsuits in a relatively simple railshooter.

You can upgrade stuff, the story girls are cute and friendly and just describing the general gameplay of it "you gotta shoot schoolgirls with your pheromone gun until they basically orgasm" is crazy enough that you can either brag or quickly push people away from you. 😁

The gameplay is simple, and played with a mouse the game is really easy, I assume it might've been balanced with gamepads in mind.

But if you're in it for what it obviously is: ecchi anime fanservice, then you'll get what you're looking for.

The costume DLCs are too expensive and too many by now, though, I'd stick to the main game.

I had quite some fun with this game. It's fun in single player, but of course also even more in multiplayer.

Many weapons, tons of action and an absolutely powerful and cool soundtrack.

Really entertaining if you just wanna kill zombies while listening to awesome music. I'm happy with it, I do not buy any of the cosmetics or USB-sticks or whatever that is, I assume those are as expensive and crazy as in all games that feature random drops.

The core gameplay is fun, either way, though.

Also, "Fury Of The Bells" might be the best "Carol of the Bells" version I've ever heard.

A really beautiful Metroidvania in visuals, music and emotion. If you like the kind of game to begin with, I certainly recommend it.

Quite many skills to unlock, a lovely soundtrack, and such a great job at the whole atmosphere, many somber moments and in between strong and fast scenes of action and escapes.
The few characters that are there are lovely.

I personally suck at platformer games. But I actually consider the platforming in this one, well, "easier". The fact that you can usually set your own save points and that platforming challenges are usually limited to one room at a time make dying and retrying less punishing, so I could quickly adjust and improve without feeling exhausted or angry.

It's a lovely game with a cute, lovely main character.

Really lovely demo, and I'm looking forward to the full game.

The artwork is absolutely lovely, and so are the corresponding animations.
The foregrounds or backgrounds have such a level of detail, you could just stand still and pretend a lovely cartoon is running behind (and in front of) you.

Absolutely lovely from what's visible in the demo.

Several hidden chests even in this short portion, and very satisfying to collect coins and such.

As someone who sucks at platforming, we'll see if I can deal with it in the full version, but at least the demo has very gentle and frequent save points, I really appreciate that.

The boss fights are also really fun!

The only part I am not a fan of is the narration. Both characters are exhausting, not because of their voices, those are fitting, but just their personality, with the boy constantly complaining and the woman constantly exhausted and unwilling to talk. I really hope those will become more likable in the full version, otherwise I fear I might dread them interrupting the otherwise lovely game.

But yeah, I'm looking forward to the full version. And an artbook? I should get myself a cane!

Regarding one boss fight Give me a peaceful way to beat the mouse! I don't wanna kill poor mice! 😭

If you love complex stories, absolutely great writing and don't mind that your game is 90% reading text with no (real) combat, I recommend this!
I, personally, love it!

Disco Elysium is an unusual game. Many people have told me the closest other game is "Planescape Torment".

Disco Elysium is, basically, a detective story. An adventure with many choices that shape your own character. The most creative thing is that every skill of yours, every aspect of your psyche, talks to you like a human NPC would. The more you rank up a skill, the more knowledgeable that voice gets. But...maybe also stronger. Maybe you don't want your "Electro-Chemistry", which basically is all about changing your perceptions with drugs, grow stronger. Or maybe that's exactly what you want.

You can be so many things in this: A total, wrecked drunkard. A (nearly) commendable cop. Or a communist that supports unions and wants to eat the rich!

And all of that is written, and spoken, in a really impressive, emotional style. If you ever searched for a game that was "highly quotable", this is it.

Like said in the beginning: about 90% or so of this game is dialogue, the rest is walking. But the dialogue is SO good!

Skill checks are basically done by dice rolls, so, there's also something in it for your Dungeons & Dragons Fancy.

If you don't mind tons of text...no...if you enjoy tons of text and basically playing a wonderful book with many choices, many talks about politics and society, this is for you. I love it!

I've finished a second playthrough on PS5, and this game is certainly worth being played more than once. The first one is the most impressive one, though!

One addition: ZA/UM these days doesn't consist of the original Disco Elysium team any more. There was quite some drama and accusations involved. But if you care about such things, you can easily research that online.
