Life changing, only good things can come from playing Klonoa.

First off though, these are solid ports of both games if you've never played them before. However, there are some differences that do make the original versions better like the first game's original PS1 cutscenes or the second game's colors being different. There are also other technical things that people have mentioned that could be game breaking, but I haven't played enough to know the differences too much. I think if this is your first exposure to the games it's whatever, but the originals do have those advantages. There are mods on GameBanana that bring the games closer to the originals but it's not 1:1. After completing the first game, I didn't want to risk missing out on the best experience so I went and bought Klonoa 2 and played it on actual hardware. I will be 100% both games on this port later.

As for the games as they are, they're peak. Yea they're kinda easy, but they're just so enjoyable and have such an elegant style to them. I really enjoy the art style and the levels have this 3D flow that's really cool for being a platformer. I also really enjoyed the soundtrack for both of the games a lot. The one that really threw me in a loop though was the story, which isn't something I thought would have as much depth and I was definitely surprised.

Overall: Play the original games on hardware/emulators if you can, if not these ports aren't too bad

The best CS sure, but server browser is the illusion of choice and leads you to the same **** server. Use gametracker or something
