Yes, it's rough around the edges. Yes it's very much an Early Access game. Yes, there's only three maps and two modes right now. Yes, there is a battle pass and premium currency you can buy.
BUT, characters and weapons can also be unlocked with regular play. You don't NEED to buy currency or a battle pass if you don't care about cosmetics. So, having said that: let's look at the game and game-play, OK?

Call it furry Counter Strike, or anthro Team Fortress 2. Ten animal characters, each with their own abilities. A pile of weapons. Attack, defend, control. It's nothing new or ground breaking. But it's fun. A howling wolf marking enemies, a panda rolling by, a skunk spraying the enemy team, the groundwork for a nice little (niche-)shooter is there.

Are there concerns? Sure. The number of active players is small, and bots are added to fill the ranks. Bots that REALLY could do with a bit of an intelligence boost (such as reviving downed players). This game will need a lot of word-of-mouth or some promotion from big streamers/gamingsites in order to get the player count up. It would be nice to see this game get past its first season (3 months) to see what additional content the devs have lined up.

The dev team is active and engaged, having released daily patches since launch, and addressing player feedback and concerns in extra messages. Personally, I would very much welcome the addition of more music tracks (especially in the main menu), more voice lines for the characters and less random crashes mid-game.

But ultimately? I'm enjoying myself and getting my money's worth. It's far from polished and can get repetitive after a while, but I hope the devs will get enough support to keep adding and fixing, and make it out of Early Access. Oh, and they absolutely should add a cheetah character. No-brainer. ;)

I love it, and this is coming from someone who hates horror. Play with friends, hear them scream as a ghost hisses in their ear, then hear them laugh as you scream from a ghost materialising in front of you. Seeing where the game already is in early access, I have faith that the full game is going to keep you checking under your bed for a long time coming.

With all the horrors, this game is still more fun than real life anyway.
