Not the best experience I’ve had with DICE, but far from the worst EA DICE experience.

I love that someone cared enough about BC2 to include it in the game modes. It’s not the epic experience you had in BF2, but you can tell someone at the studio still loves the beauty of this series.

I can’t promise it’s leadership—because, you know, EA—but there are still fans at DICE keeping the hope of a truly amazing game alive. And I’ll keep hoping too, while I still have years left in me.

(I’m not even 40 yet, but you get what I mean.)

🎮 Gameplay:
Spent tons of hours on Pocket City and Pocket City 2 for Android—awesome improvements on PC, especially detailed zone info access. 👍

🖥️ Interface:
Mostly intuitive, but needs resolution scaling fixes:

Large monitors make camera swivel awkward. 🖱️ High sensitivity sends cursor flying; moderate sensitivity means tiring arm movements just to look around. 😩

⚠️ Performance & Graphics:
Had heavy stuttering and rubber-banding on latest-gen PC, making events like ride-share nearly unplayable. 🚗💨 Improved performance by:

Lowering refresh rate to 240hz.

Turning off V-sync, enabling smooth motion in NVIDIA settings.

Better now, but still minor glitches occasionally. Next experiment: NVIDIA's low-latency mode (on/ultra), V-sync off, G-sync on. 🔄

🌟 Overall:
Fantastic minimalist city-builder—nailed the essential features and bigger maps are a major win. 🌆✨

🎯 Wishlist:

Steam Workshop support! Let players create and share buildings, themes, and unique assets—boosting replayability massively! 🛠️🎨

Even larger maps for deeper, detailed combos of nature and urban areas. 🌳🏙️🌊

I often miss Harvest Moon, this helps, if not just as good!

One of the most beautiful, complete, immersive games I've ever played. I don't ever buy DLCs, but this game is an exception. Please, give this a try, you won't regret it.

Honestly, Activision money grab and run. Short game, expensive DLCs.

Still can't recommend even though it's not in the store, if you use proton "fairly well", alt+tab is impossible, and changing controller configuration while in game is not possible. However, I do know that might be just my steam+wine+proton+vkd3d + all DE specific stuff, that I could avoid just using the linux runtime natively that is already mostly built by them.

EDIT 08/30/2020

No longer recommended due to their removal of Linux and Mac OS support. It was fun while it lasted but I'm not going to install Windows again just to play this game. :(
