Early Access Review
You've literally made a walking simulator that is unironically fun to play.

How dare you. Well played.

Best RPG I ever played. Period. Gameplay is amazing, styles of play - hundreds. Bosses - dozens. Locations are amazing, dungeons are always a blast. I think only Witcher 3 tops it only in terms of story and characters, while Soulslike games' story is ... an aquired taste.

The game is like Dark Souls but perfected - with open world locations (but there are still classic closed castles to explore as usual), jumping (I know, right?), actual stealth, crafting, mount fights, improved combat in form of special moves as well as magic that feels good. I probably won't stop playing until I hit 1000 hours. It's just so good.

Basically Amnesia gameplay meets cthulhu-esque erotica. Kinda hetero heavy but I can work with that. Will be waiting to explore the world this game has in full release.

I don't recommend this to anyone. No matter what class you want to play as the gameplay is boring, clunky and I played games from 15 years ago that had better weaponplay and magic mechanics. Game is filled with serious bugs - falling through textures, losing your tent or whole backpack (worth hours of time), loading screen can extend to minutes because you have too many items. You're expected to use console commands and cheats to fix your game (which I had multiple times now). Graphics feel really old (which I can forgive) but the open zone design are subpar. You have to walk everywhere back and forth like it's a walking simulator. It can take an hour just to get to a skill trainer. Story and quest made me want to off myself, it's long, boring and I had to use cheats to speed myself to ease the suffering. That's what this game is - a suffering.

Yes, it does have a few good ideas exectured well, but when the core gameplay fails so miserably, there is no reason to list them. I can at least say that co-op is neat, but could have been done better - guest can't progress the quests or get rewards from it. But what's the point when gameplay is just so bad? I am going to keep on playing the game just for the laughs with my friend but when we are done we'll find a way how to digitally burn this game.

It's a decent game, even more so for the fair price. It's much more better experience if you play the game in co-op with a friend. Other than that can't really hate the game but can't really be in awe of it. As for the next Darksiders game the story doesn't really reveal anything new other than "Oh, Lucifer is doing bad things". Yeah, quite a shocker.

The only complaint I have is the fact that this is the 4th game and already 3rd (!) prequel to Darksiders 1. We know who are all the bad guys since DS2. The lore of the game and the story we had in DS1 and DS2 were great so please ... get on with it and give us a proper game that progresses the story.

Good game, a decent story, awesome fighting styles worth mastering for higher difficulties.

While it's the worst game out of all Far Cry franchise, it's still worth recommending as long as you know what you're in for. If you like FC games for their gameplay - hunting, stealth killing, taking over outposts, exploring and crafting then you will not be disappointed (but it's not revolutionary either). The only new thing worth mentioning are beasts that you can use as companion and owl that you use for scouting and attacking from above. The main thing that game lacks it's something that we were so used to have in FC games - a good villain. We have two here and it's not that they're bad, they're just undeveloped. The potential was there, a lot of place for them to shine and do some really f-up stuff in the 10000BC era, but there was very little of that. It felt lazy as if Ubisoft did not try to do anything with them. But other than that? It's a solid Far Cry game.

As you see I compare it to other FC games, because game is pretty much for those who already played one of those. Unfortunately it's not a good game to start your adventure with the series. Go play 3, 4 and 5 and if you can't get enough of this great gameplay then go for Primal.
