Hear me out.

First off, I would not buy the game as it currently is (3 days since launch as of writing). The servers are slower to find a match than Yoshi telling the IRS where his W2 is. The game is online only as you no doubt have heard and when the servers went down you couldn't even play solo. And The selection of weapons, while high quality in terms of graphics and game play, is quite limited when compared to Payday 2.

But,...

This game has a lot of potential to it. Beneath the server fiasco this is a fun game to play. The stealth is a lot more butt-tuckering and dynamic than Payday 2 was, and the shoot-em-up parts are still as fun as 2 was with a few new mechanics that are small yet refreshing for a new title to the series. As for the weapon selection I am sure the developers will add new weapons and other items as the years go on as they did with 2. The biggest issue at the moment is the server issues and the online only issue. I sincerely hope the developers will listen to the community feedback and will either A: fix their servers, B: get rid of the online only restriction, or both.

TL;DR Don't buy right now, but later when they fix it
