A nice Visual Novel that managed to pull me in with it's interesting premise and nice cast of characters. While the ideas for a very engaging and deep plot are present, there are also enough little things to make it not as wonderful as it could've been. Not all of the characters were fleshed out enough for me to really connect with them, while there is one in particular that kind of confuses me with their existence. There are also a few moments that were deep and meaningful but felt more forced than natural. Story elements, lore, and backgrounds into the setting were very nice when being introduced but unfortunately don't go deep enough to really satisfy that world building itch inside me. All these little problems boil down to having just a bit too little of the actual story. Ten chapters was almost enough to tell the story, but the number itself was too short and there was one chapter itself that felt half as long as the rest of them.

While these downsides might seem problematic, I still enjoyed the experience nonetheless. The characters that were more explored really help the narrative, while those that weren't still didn't drag down the story by being in the way. Those moments that are supposed to hit deep really do, and the background information going into everything is still enough to really immerse yourself in the world. Every problem I had with the 'game' was in retrospect instead of during the playtime. To me, that means it was engaging enough so long as I didn't put too much thought into things.

Overall, I'd say the pros far outweigh the cons. I don't regret the purchase at all and would still recommend it despite the flaws that might seem more apparent. A story that hooks you in and keeps you there is one worth giving a chance, and with the shorter narrative presented that might be all you need in order to see it through.
