Good gameplay loop to play for hours

Extremely overhyped. Very minimal PvP, mostly PvE. Spent over an hour looting wires, bolts, and batteries, while shooting at flying roombas, with total of 1 real player encounters.

63 hours in and I have no major complaints about the game or the gameplay. The mechanics, graphics, guns, TTK, and achievements make this game enjoyable. The Season 1 is just around the corner and I'm looking forward to all of the updates. As long as the development team keeps this game as leveled as it is now and stay away from steering into the same direction some of the other titles have in the past couple of years, this will be my go to FPS for some time.

Do not change the achievements, they are achievements, not participation trophies. They should be challenging so it takes effort to earn them. If it doesn't take any effort to earn something, it'll be worthless.

Call of Duty started as a great mil-sim FPS that competed with Battlefield, Medal of Honor, America’s Army, and Arma. Today it competes against arcade shooters like Apex Legends and Fortnite. The movement is terrible. Jumping, sliding around, sliding sideways while shooting, proning out while shooting is just all way over the top. The skins, non-combat operators, are terrible. Guns that shoot bubbles and lightning bolts are terrible.

On top of that, the gameplay experience is frustrating in other ways. Skill-based matchmaking makes nearly every lobby sweaty and punishing, removing the casual fun that older CoDs were known for. Time-to-kill feels inconsistent, and weapon balance is almost always skewed toward a handful of “meta” guns while the rest of the arsenal feels useless. The store is pushed harder than the game itself, with overpriced bundles and constant cosmetic cash-grabs overshadowing the actual content. And when you finally get into a match, server issues, broken hit detection, and bugs only add to the frustration.

I think if the latest couple of CoD games were named as something different, they would do fine with whatever crowd they attract. As of now, I cannot recommend this game to anyone who expects CoD to be what CoD originally was.

Voice recognition is terrible. Having to repeat something 2-3 times for planes, and watch the speech to text type out completely different words, makes the game not enjoyable. This happens no matter how slow or clear I say the words. No issues with Windows, MacOS, or iOS speech-to-text recognizing the exactly same phrases/commands.

Not to mention the goofy airline call signs. If I pick an airport in the US, it would be nice to have airlines that operate within or into the US to be the ones I talk to and not made up stuff.

Best FPS game, very unfortunate that the support was discontinued and we're now stuck with tween garbage like COD and Apex. I would love to see AA5.

No next-gen, no story mode. 140GB of hard drive space for what? Extremely disappointing. For $59.99 you get the same thing you get on the phone version of the game. Do not buy. Refund requested.
