Pros:
Beautiful open-world game that puts nanite and UE 5 to shame(I honestly thought it was a UE5 game that actually ran good till I found out it was their own developed engine).
Optimized pretty well, the PC/console and mobile runs great from what I've seen.
Mashup of many different games and genres which gives a unique but familiar experience(for those who played AC/Dark Souls/Elden Ring and other MMOs).
Nothing is locked behind a paywall.
Every boss fight and some of the sidequests feels like you are in a movie.
Sometimes I have to stop the grind to just enjoy the views this game offers.

Cons:
Menu Simulator.
You have to finish tutorial before changing any settings(quite problematic).
UI is not as optimized as the rest of the game and it ends up causing stutters after hours of gameplay(it is not preloaded into memory so it loads assets on main thread everytime).
Levels for new characters are time gatekeeped(every 10 levels up to 50 is a ~24 hrs, every 5 levels from 50 up).

The time gatekeep for me wasn't much of an issue as I spent much of my time exploring and never had to wait for the next breakthrough; the fact that I had made my character a day before playing made a difference I suppose. The game also stores any exp you get when you hit the level cap, giving a small percentage when you complete quests or tasks until your stored exp is done.

Overall I would give it an easy 9/10 with all the issues mentioned and not, if the UI wasn't so excessive and we can change settings from get go it would be a 10/10.

So glad I stumbled upon this gem, I read the reviews and immediately hopped in with my buddy and absolutely loved it. Basically a 3D project zomboid with lots of depth and content, the fact that two developers cooked this gem is impressive. Please continue polishing, updating, and any hotfixes this game is Gold.

Swords and sandals but better and 3d brings back kind memories, only missing feature is enchantments for weapons but the massive selection of weapons makes up for it :D

I love it, I want this game to be expanded into more modes/players and maybe even battle royale mode as well. I can imagine the chaos of 60+ mages shouting fireball in an arena.

The banner needs to go lol, good game though.

Oh man I didn't know I needed a game like this till I seen my buddy playing it. I absolutely love the building in this game, it could use a few tweaks and polishes to help improve gameplay, but it's on the right track. I have great hopes for this game and future content/fixes it will get. I hope we get more units and horrors to fight with and hopefully bigger maps. 9/10, I would give it 10/10 if it had no bugs and good optimization.

Well polished game that easily competes if not beats its rivals and already offers content at release comparable to them as well. I enjoyed Valheim but this was a breath of fresh air for survival RPG games and definitely seems more promising it terms of more content and updates.

Made friends with a white southerner preacher named, Sergio, and a french dude called Dan. We were traveling up north in search of a church, and tried to recruit people along the way to join our inquisition of the bandits. Most people were frightened by the strong words Sergio used to sway them. They had never seen a event such as that ever happen. Although his preaching sometimes got us in sticky situations, that's when we lost our poor friend Dan. We came across a motel with a some mini markets and stores nearby. That's when we saw a jeep hauling ass in circles fuming smokes all over the parking lot. Me and Dan took cover behind some garbage containers while Sergio would go and talk to them. We quickly noticed they had guns, and they were ignoring us until I decided to blow up their jeep. I shot only 3 arrows into the front of the engine block and then BOOM, mayhem unleashed. As the smoke cleared, we see all 3 of the armed bandits run towards us. Me and Sergio quickly run and shout at Dan to run. I have to remind you guys that Dan only bought the game just recently, as in hours. So he doesn't know what the f**k is going on as we run into the valley shouting our heads off. We look back in the motels, and just hear several shots. As we are realizing what had just happened, we see one of the three dudes running towards us with some kind of shotgun. After that, we ran like the devil was behind our a**es.

10/10 Would Play Again.

Awesome adventure with 2 guys I've never even met in my life before. You don't get these kinds of stories from games like DayZ or WarZ. I hope you guys enjoy this game as much as I did, and not just say it's p2w because of one stupid feature that isn't even somewhat remotely affect gameplay. That is my opinion on the airdrops, and I'm pretty sure the Devs at bohemia screwed us even more than sony devs when they released DayZ.

Performance, I get great fps on this game with high settings, my God I love the reflection effects too! Most people in this game are somewhat friendly, that is of course until they get a gun. Groups you should never encounter on your own, unless if it's a fresh group. Some issues I don't feel like discussing but they are there, most of the release issues were fixed on the FIRST day, wow! A lot of mixed emotions on how the game would develop, and right now I think they are doing a great job.


UPDATE:

I honestly don't know why a Early Release game is getting reviews let alone reviews that mention bugs, but I guess it helps people to see if they want to get the game. If you're planning on getting the game, don't even look at the reviews, for crying out loud this game is in alpha and isn't complete yet. Wait for the open beta or when the full release. This game has seen lots of improvements within the first couple weeks, and I am baffled by that fact. This of course does have it's up and downs like any other, I'd only reccommend people to buy this if they want to help support it develop.

Although Arma 3 has come out, I still think this game with Operation Arrowhead has potentional. Yet made for multiplay its singleplayer is very dynamic. The fact is that this is a great first person shooter. Realism is hard to balance for some games but Bohemia did great with its game content allowing players to be able to counter anything thrown at them. I'd recommend this to anyone who enjoys a lot of game content for a unique fps.
