the only game in the last 5 years or so with an opening cutscene so good i never skip it.

demonschool is stylish, hilarious, and way more engrossing than i expected it to be. i'm not really a strategy game enjoyer, but something about this style of grid-based gameplay has unlocked something dark and nefarious within me. i'm obsessed with restarting fights just to find the most optimal path through, and even moreso to watch it all play out like a badass action sequence. AND it's all set to a soundtrack composed by kurt feldman? like come on.

the characters are definitely the game's strong suit (namakoooo my belovedddddd), but the npc dialogue is genuinely so funny that i look forward to the start of each in-game week so i can run around and see what everyone's got to say. it's rare that a game makes me laugh so much!!

i'm no stranger to necrosoft's work, and i've been eagerly anticipating this release since its announcement, because i just knew it was gonna be cool. but i had no idea how cool it would be!!! turns out it's REALLY cool. maybe you could even say… demonschool is demon's cool...?!
