Not bad.
Be warned, this game's "humor" is "quirk chungus" style. If you'd get annoyed when the game says things like "you ded - maybe him skill issue?"[sic], then this game is not for you.

An incredibly boring, ugly, and unpolished experience.
The gameplay has no depth beyond a stats check; if your bobber's stats match a fish's stats and you're in the right area at the right time, you'll catch it. Otherwise, you won't. Did I mention the only way to know what ideal stats a fish wants is to catch that fish multiple times already?

The UI and other graphics are simplistic in an unpolished, ugly way. The fish are all procedurally generated, which means each fish type is unique, but there are very few fish shapes and colors, so they all end up looking the same anyway. These are supposed to be alien fish, but they all look so boring. One of the things I love in fishing games is seeing the size of the fish I caught; it feels great to see a massive fish in your inventory. In this game, all you get is a weight number.

Having the fish's stats up covers up your bobber, and there's no sound cue for when you've caught a fish, so you have to choose between learning about the fish you're catching to get better, or staring at a bland background to actually catch the fish.

Fishing should embody the beauty and calmness of nature, not the blandness and tedium of a spreadsheet.
That said, many other reviews seem to like this game. I didn't have a good time playing it and I don't see much that makes it stand out in a good way, so I can't recommend this game, but my brother loves it.
I wouldn't buy it unless it's heavily discounted.

The UI is a nightmare, and the font is difficult to read. Bad combo.
I really wanted to like this game, but I never even got to fight in a battle because they absolutely bombard you with choices and give little to no guidance. It's like being a toddler asked to do taxes.

Edit: I should have downloaded the demo before buying.

Early Access Review
This is by far the best early-access game available on Steam. The developers are amazing and fully committed to making this game even better than it already is. The game even has a bug report function(and you get an achievement for helping)! The atmosphere is amazing; all the plants and animals seem alive and look super cool and the graphics are stunning(especially after the latest update). All the vehicles and base parts look smooth and futuristic, and feel like they belong where they are. The game has a certain charm and mystery to it and I recommend looking up as little as possible so whenever you find something new, it feels new and mysterious. The developers aren't working on multiplayer right now, but that's only because they made the choice to improve the rest of the game at the moment. The game is already so great that I have the feeling that at full release, it will be one of the top games on steam.
