Just got the 112% completion achievement. I must agree with everyone on the reviews: this is worth every penny and you'll still want to give Team Cherry more of your money when you're done with it. Hollow Knight is full of personality - it has a recognizable visual and sound identity, while having each section of the game be unique at the same time; it is full of mystery, meaning it will never outright tell you things with words, and even when it does, it'll find a way to do so in a way that is poetic, beautiful. In this sense, Hollow Knight's wonderful lore is just as much of a challenge as the gameplay itself: you must learn to make your way through it on your own, much like the main character does.

Which brings us to something that cannot be left out when reviewing this game: it is HARD. There is no difficulty option, so you'll just have to learn how to play the game through trial and error. You will find some things hard and some things easy, but I couldn't tell you what would fall into each category, because everyone finds their own walls and challenges within the game. For some, it's the platforming; others, the boss fights; most likely, you'll have trouble with both. You'll have to persevere and try again and again until you can do it, and, although this might sound a little masochistic, when you are finally able to break through you'll realize the payoff is worth it. Maybe you'll ragequit after getting killed by the same boss for the 100th time, but then, late at night, you'll wake up in cold sweat, thinking, 'god I really wanna try that fight again right now'.
