I never thought there'd be a game as satisfying and as addictive as Vampire Survivors.

I was wrong.

Poncle you madlad.

You'll probably enjoy this game if you love any deckbuilding games.
You probably won't if you prefer games like The Binding of Isaac or BALLxPIT

Personally, I don't like it. Sorry.

- awful matchmaking
- 10 years of playing and our reward is garbage

china gets treated so much better and with much more respect, and even if the 'Blizzard doesn't own Chinese OW' excuse is valid, it does NOT mean they can't at least TRY to match their generosity.

you can say "thank you" over and over on social media but it doesn't mean anything if your actions don't reflect the fact you're thankful.

❌ Great Premise, Exhausting Execution ❌

TL;DR: Save your time and money. There are plenty of better-managed co-op live services out there. This game takes one step forward and two steps back with every single update.

The Core Issues:

The "Balance" Trap: Frequent hidden nerfs. Devs promise not to touch balanced gear, only to gut it later under the guise of "Realism." while leaving broken weapons (The Eruptor) to go untouched and the by default 'best choice'.
Dev Gaslighting: For months, broken 'stealth' mechanics were "working as intended" according to the devs despite a community outcry—until a new Warbond needed to sell, suddenly triggering a "necessary" revamp.
Technical Instability: Every patch breaks more than it fixes. As of v6.0.1, the game is literally unplayable for me.
Poor Optimization: I had to buy a lossless scaling software just to maintain a playable framerate.
Steam Deck Lie: Marketed as "Playable," but it is neither smooth nor enjoyable on handheld.
"Security": Uses invasive Kernel-level anti-cheat that does nothing to stop the rampant cheating while compromising your system.
I wanted to believe the mistakes were temporary, but the truth is clear: Helldivers 2 is a game with great premise and high potential yet terribly managed by the dev team. Despite the great community and the constructive feedback they give, it seems to fall on deaf ears.

They lied.

  • Promise n°1: One portal server per copy of the game

  • Result: Most players were unable to create a portal server since the game's launch due to Youtubers promoting how to create a 'xp bot farms' for those wanting to speedrun the game

  • Promise n°2: The ability to play against bots with friends or solo in Portal with similar XP as Multiplayer for people who don't want to sweat against try hard or cheaters after a very exhausting day and / or for people with disabilities.

  • Result: EA went ahead and used the excuse of 'eliminating bot farms' to nerf Portal XP to no longer granding XP per kill but only on Match completion. Do they realise that bot farms will still exist and they'll just find a way to AFK until the end of the match? If anything, since it'll take longer for the farmers, it'll worsen the Portal experience (but hey, that means they don't have to spend money on more servers).
  • Not only did they make the XP worse, PLAYERS ARE STILL UNABLE TO HOST A PORTAL SERVER. Almost like it was NEVER THE SOLUTION TO BEGIN WITH !

Until they go back on their changes and properly address the situation, this review will stay as negative. Although the rest of my review talking about the game in general won't make it win any points...

Welcome to Call of Battlefield. Wait, was it Battlefield of Duty? Call of Battleduty?

Back in the days, circa 2000s - 2010s, Battlefield and Call of Duty were THE big first person shooters on the market. People were going at it like the console war except it was for a game. Call of Duty has always been faster-paced and more individual-focused as there was less interaction between your teammates and all that mattered were kills. If you've played Battlefield 6, you'll realize that it really isn't that different from today's Call of Duty now other than the larger-scale maps (and even then, they've fed us WAY SMALLER maps than there used to be in the past.)

The Cons ❌
  • Movement is way too fast and not punishing enough. This is Battlefield, not Mirror's Edge ( Although both are a DiCE game. Maybe there was a mix up?)
  • ABSURDLY fast Time To Kill to the point higher rate of fire weapons will dominate over higher damage weapons.
  • Inexistant suppression mechanic. Which means you can try to bother a sniper to cover your team and they'll just headshot you with pinpoint accuracy despite hundreds of machine gun bullets flying over their head.
  • Half of the Assault players switch to Support to get health and use it selfishly. Just give Assault's gadget a healing effect.
  • Awful scopes with either dark blood red lines which melt into the background or huge bright red lines that allow the target to literally hide behind your scope.
  • PC can't turn off crossplay but Console can. I don't really care, but you can see the favoritism (and yet without PC players, which is a large majority of the player base, console players are cooked.)
  • Awful visibility. ADS Fov & Regular FOV are now merged, which means if you want to get a large field of view, you'll have to try aiming at literal ants despite them being less than ten meters away from you.
  • Awful netcode. Sometimes you get peeker's advantage, sometime you get killed faster despite you catching the enemy by surprise and already pumped half a mag into them. Sometimes your bullets just don't register?
  • Awful bloom. Of course weapons are supposed to have recoil, but this much? With the new mechanic of your bullets randomly deciding to f**k off to live their adventures in the unreleased Medal Of Honor sequel?
  • Slow progression. I like slow progression, I like not being done with a game after fifty hours... but almost twenty hours to unlock a scope that is half decent for the starting sniper rifle is a bit too much. You'll be lucky to get one weapon level per full timer-runs-out match.
  • Forced Online to play Singleplayer. It's starting to be a trend with video game companies nowadays, but nobody's thinking about the day EA goes bankrupt and all the servers go down forever. (Hell, Ubisoft's not bankrupt yet and their shutting down of The Crew's server probably started the biggest movement to prevent the death of video game alongside the fight for consumer rights.)
  • HOW IS THE GAME'S OPTIMIZATION WORSE THAN IT WAS DURING THE BETA???

The Postives ✅
  • The game boots up, i guess.
  • Comes with a free kernel-level spyware
  • Reminds me there are much better games in my library.

so... genshin impact with less polish and insane monetization pretending to be an mmorpg to avoid competing with what probably is the most popular open world gacha game at the moment.

Amazing game but awful collab. Saved 50k lunacy, got 0 collab EGO. Spent 60€, 0 EGO with the 5 multis. Either they fix their rates and give us compensation for how awful it is, or they won't receive any more money from me. I love supporting the game, but this is my limit.
