The game launched in a rough state but it is in a very good state now.
CDPR brings its A-game to the story and the narrative is easily as good as the Witcher series if not better. The side quests with a lot of side characters feel meaningful and actually affect the ending. YES, depending on your choices and the side quests completed you will be going through ending missions that play out totally differently and gives some amazing endings in each one of them
There is a lot of hate online, especially by people who have never played this game. I held off on this game for a long time too and only after playing have realised just how wrong they all were. So, make your own mind and give it a shot especially now that it is on sale for 50% off
