I am of the old breed, starting in 2017 and I am not good. I am a casual gamer and have only gained Kappa once on an early wipe. I will always love and come back to Tarkov. Give it time and go slow. Watch community videos, learn from streamers, use VOIP to make friends in game (playing solo can be rough). You will die, laugh learn move on. Tarkov is not punishing you, it's teaching you humility. Suffering is part of the tutorial. Turn off motion blur, chromatic aberration, and post-fx. Focus on one task as a time. Use your Scav cooldowns!
