Every now and then, a game comes along that reminds me how powerful a good narrative can be. Dispatch doesn't tread any exceedingly new ground. The story is a fairly straightforward redemption story, it's full of cliches, the twists are largely predictable... but it *works.* The story beats themselves may follow a fairly typical line, but the character writing, the acting, the art direction and visuals... these are the things that make this game shine. Everything is written so perfectly well that the narrative never feels stale or overdone. The gameplay is good enough to keep you engaged without overstaying its welcome and interfering with the actual story.

All in all, Dispatch is one of my favorite games this year, and I am so happy that AdHoc Studio is seeing the success they so clearly deserve.

Also, special shoutout to the feature that lets you copy a save slot to a new one and pick up the story from specific points so you can play out different key choices without having to replay the entire game from the start. Fantastic quality of life feature.

Also, also: I'm a ♥♥♥♥♥, my name's Robert.

The Outer Worlds 2 is definitely an improvement over TOW1. Where TOW1 tried too hard to be funny and make tongue in cheek jabs at every opportunity got became old fast, TOW2 dials that back a lot (while still retaining plenty of humor and absurd moments) for a more serious, grounded experience. I have played 8 hours of it so far, and am enjoying it a lot. The RPG mechanics feel like they have significantly more depth to them, and the game feels tighter and more polished.

The gunplay is satisfying and feels good, and so far the enemies have been fun to fight. I find the 'hard' mode to actually *be* challenging, and require at least a semblance of basic tactics and remembering to use your companion abilities.

It feels like skills matter more, there *are* places you simply can't access and dialogue options you won't be able to pick without putting points into engineering/lockpicking/whatever. You *will* miss content because there simply aren't enough skill points to build a character that can do everything, and I appreciate that the devs are willing to let players miss things. That said, The devs have put a lot of work into ensuring that you have workarounds for many things. A check in dialogue can often be bypassed if you've found information on terminals or notes or by speaking to people.

The story is a bit cliche for sure, but the writing so far has been enjoyable and I never felt like there was anything I outright rolled my eyes at for being dumb or anything.

The game runs very well in 1440p on my 7800x3d and 4070 super system, I hit a stable 100 fps in the open world with ray tracing off, DLSS quality, and no frame gen, on mix of high + very high settings. I have run into a couple bugs, but no softlocks or anything that actually affected progression or gameplay.

Overall, game good.

It's been a long time since I've been so thoroughly engrossed in a game. Deep Field really looked at the best games in like four different genres, went "but what if all *one* game?" and proceeded to make one of the most enjoyable experiences I've had in years

Early Access Review
Bannerlord is a fantastic game and I highly recommend it. It has it's issues and bugs, like any Early Access game, but so far I've experienced nothing game-breaking and only one crash. A graphical glitch that replaced all the models with black squares was fixed by turning off dynamic shadows, but that's the only issue I've had that affected actual gameplay.

The game runs beautifully on medium-high settings on my somewhat older/low mid-range PC, (16 gigs RAM, AMD FX 8320 CPU, 4GB 1050 TI GPU) with a 500 man cap. Combat feels nice, hitboxes seem to be nice and tight and blocking works fine.

All in all, despite some placeholder content and unfinished features, all of which were clearly stated to be absent prior to the game's release into EA, I highly recommend you purchase the game.

While the game does have it's bugs, it's Halo on PC. It doesn't get much better than that.

One of my all time favorites, with a wealth of content and plenty to do even after completing the main storyline. It's just a shame that the story itself was never fully completed due to time constraints.

This is, by far, one of the greatest games I have ever played. The story isn't anything too super-original, but the world is incredibly immersive. All the 34.6 hours I have in this game as of this review have been spent on a single playthrough, and I'm not even halfway through the game. There's so much to do and explore.
