How to ♥♥♥♥ up the good game:

1. Make marketing around being "better than other game that actually has nothing to do with our game".
2. Have small, but overall ok initial release and consider it as ultimate defeat.
3. Stop developing it, stop marketing it right after release.
4. Do not make it f2p, do not make any permament discounts cause why bother, do not make any giveaway to promote game as well.
5. Be shocked that not many players play the game.
6. Shut down the servers.

I'm giving an upvote though, because the game is good. It's the marketing that failed.

Dark Souls 2: Scholar of the First Sin.

I'm starting to write this review pretty late, considering i own it since release.

Well, nevermind.

SoFS is basically "Dark Souls 2: Remastered Edition". Which means better graphics, tweaked monster/item placement, some improvements from original Dark Souls 2.
For those who played DkS2 before: worth if you didn't lost interest in this game first completion. Improved PvP (lags are rare these days), additional summon, better enemy AI, all you need to boost your experience.

For newbies:
If you like games that demand dedication to play (don't be fooled by those who say that it's a game for masochists, all you need in Dark Souls 2 is patience and caution... plus some time to learn how to roll and parry :roar: ) that force you to learn it, you will have LOTS of fun here. If you like to explore the lore completly by yourself (remember old Final Fantasy, first one? This is basically this lore-wise, but hella improved) this is the game for you.

If you like Mass Effect/Fallout style dialogues, hollywood-like epicness and arcade-style playing, maybe some romance with big-boobed chick... You'll be dissapointed. All you can meet here is Washing Pole slicing through you like warm knife goes through butter.

Thanks to its uniquess, this game (or should i say... whole series?) is one of best in todays gaming industry. You'll miss alot if you skip it.

Ok, being completly honest, 404Sight surprised me as hell.
Never heard about it till i noticed this game in "new" section in steam shop. And, being free to play... i decided, "heck, let's try it".
First thing i noticed is medicore optimalisation - my laptop should run it on "ultra", but i ended up using "medium". Bad start, but then i started to play and DAMN SON. It's like f2p Mirrors Edge. With a little Dark Souls spice (guess which achievement i got as first - yes, falling one :roar: )

Next thing worth to mention is music - it's not something "epic" but it certainly fits the game and lets you get in the mood to run and jump and fall down and try again.

I am completly surprised - this game is worth at least 5-10€ yet it's released for free.
Try it, you won't regret it.

I didn't really played any Halo game before since don't own xbox, so i obviously won't talk about the series.

Now, to the review.

Graphics: For a game designed to PC and Windows Phone, it's great! But take a look at screenshots and make your own opinion, really, you will see if you like it. For me it's solid 8+/10

Music: Epic. Tom Salta did great job. It fits the game, that's one thing. It won't bore you at any point of gamethrough. Bah, i myself enjoyed listening it outside the game. 10/10, 100%, A+ or whatever best rate you wish for. I'm in love in main menu theme :3

Optimalisation: It works flawlessly on my year-old-and-cheap-as-heck laptop, that speaks for itself.

Gameplay: top-down shooter, seems similiar to Shadowgrounds, but it's kinda "faster". Short missions in which you annihilate Covenant troops and defend yours. What's interresting is XP system and challenges.
XP let's you "buy" another weapon you start with, upgrade your shield a little and buy a boost. Everything only for duration of that one mission. XP is gained by completing missions. Simple, and works, i like that.
Challenges makes the mission a little more difficult, but it lets you gain more XP for completion. Together with boosts it makes kinda nice combo.

I am willing to rate the game with a nice and honest 9/10. Very good graphics and gameplay combined with epic music makes it very interesting game. I just wish it had co-op.

Well, pretty decent game.
It's point&click adventure "mystery" game with easy, but not "too easy" problems to solve. And if you'll for some reason get stuck somewhere, there's always hint system that will help you if needed.

Graphics... overall good as we can see in screenshots, except NPCs model. Ugh, when they "speak" i got a feeling i'm playing 90's game. However audio quckly makes you forgive that flaw. Music is just awsome. And voices are decent as well.
Stong 7/10 rate. I reccomend it for everyone who likes point&click games.

If you're expecting decent adventure game, you won't be dissapointed. If you're expecting Post Mortem/The Longest Journey... well, there's always Dreamfall Chapters.

I really can't see anything that could make me write something bad about Dark Souls 2. It's fun, hass very good visuals and damn the audio - masterpiece.
Fighting demands from user more than blind rightclick. Exploration demands caution. And bossfights... Are really bossfights.
The only "flaw" of DkS2 is laggy pvp, though to be honest, i consider it as part of the charm here. Lagstab was with us since... the beginning of the series, and nobody really cared (except when you lose fight, casul).

Buy this game. You won't regret it.
