Most unintuitive controls I've ever experienced.

It's very much a roguelike, and not an easy one. You essentially have 3 HP bars that also double as MP bars. Energy/Gas/Durability. You take damage from those enemies/indicator lights. You also can use these 3 type as a cost of a card. I've never enjoyed playing a game that really made you stop and think, double check obsessively. Missions seem to sometimes send you back the direction you came. I did this and by the I was one location away, the turn in location moved further ahead. I don't know if this happens for just particular quests. For me it was taking the little girl home. I circled back 3 locations before it moved, A bit tedious and seemed as though the game was messing with me. I did continue to play for 5 hours. Everything came to a halt with a night drive and getting pulled over by the cops. I forgot to rest to refill my card uses. I wouldn't say in the slightest that this is a casual/relaxing game. It is quite original when it comes to the style, like a table top game that you've never seen before.

There are so many things this game has done right. I'm big on roguelikes, and raid mechanics are the most entertaining part of an MMORPG. The multiplayer feature is unheard of these days in gaming. I can play on the same PC with a friend and go into matchmaking with other players. Matchmaking alone is rare outside of a AAA title.

Every time I fail a match, I need one more game. That tends to happen 3-4 times minimum. When I browse for matches, I rarely see any, but when I start one, at least one person joins within a minute typically. It's a merge of different genres into an experience that is truly original, making me want to see more like it, as it's own genre. I would call it a Action Raidlike.

It's still the best game they've released. Not a lot of players, but I got in a 4v4, that kind of changed to a 2v4, with us dominating until the end, on a weekday.

I used to think this game was way too hard. It's very important to start waves early for the cash bonus. I gave the game another chance today and got 100% achievements in one sitting. Great game.

If you like roguelites and playing with friends, this is the game. I played this with my girlfriend from start to finish, and while she wasn't particularly great at it, it was an incredible experience. I highly suggest getting this game.

This game gave back the excitement I used to have during my early days in rotmg. The boss fights are a blast, like legitimately fun. I haven't had that feeling in rotmg since 2014.
