Not your typical shooter. Love it.
Hours
5 - 10: Scared. Sneaking everywhere - die every match.

10 - 30: Still scared. Don't want to lose my level x character. Making less noise and hearing more. The occasional kills and extractions.

30 - 100: No longer scared. Run, evade, sneak, avoid, push - still die but now we're killing/extracting more often.

100+ hours: Death is meaningless. Push fights and rush Bosses.

2488+ hours: Still here. Please fix the UI

I'm really enjoying it.

Bears are angry and should treated with care.
Everything else, 1 shot while crouched or spam attack with your knife if they get too close.

There's a few bugs, some missing icons and some QoL changes that would be great (highlighting dropped items, ping/target locations/items so friends know what you're talking about), but I haven't experienced anying that's stopped me enjoying the game.


If you like Ark and have some friends? Buy it.

It's ok...

Maelstrom is a surprisingly fun game that's well balanced and very polished. My friends and I grabbed it just for kicks but have played it constantly ever since.

It's F2P without the P2W!

Best in the series. Best weapons, armours, and style. Best DLC. Best deaths.

Ok alone. Awesome with friends.

If you're frustrated, go ahead and take advantage of videos, wikis, and whatnot.

Eventually you'll feel like you're fighting the enemies in the game, and not the game itself. My advice is to stop looking at wikis at that point, and experience the game itself.
