Discounty is a surprisingly engaging blend of cozy life-sim and business management. Instead of farming turnips or brewing potions, you’re running a supermarket in a struggling small town, and it’s far more addictive than you might expect. Stocking shelves, keeping things clean, and managing customers makes for a tight gameplay loop, while the pixel art and moody soundtrack give the whole experience a unique atmosphere.

The story adds an extra layer of intrigue, with colorful townsfolk and hints of mystery that push you to keep playing “just one more day.” However, for all its charm, the game struggles to give players the sense that their decisions truly matter. While you can influence your store’s success, you don’t really shape the broader narrative or the fate of the town in a meaningful way. That lack of agency can be disappointing when the world feels so alive and ripe for choice-driven storytelling.

On a smaller note, I kept wondering why certain elements like the shed or the derelict building were introduced but never actually used. They feel like missed opportunities for deeper storylines or gameplay variety.

Overall, Discounty is a strong, atmospheric management sim that hooks you with its loop and tone. I just hope the developers expand on what’s here, adding more meaningful decisions, fleshing out the unused spaces, and maybe even finally letting us discover what’s really going on in that shed.

I wanted to play this game with my wife on our steam decks.
For me it works. She only gets
"Playstation Network Error - Something went wrong when trying to link to PlayStation account, please try again."
So I installed this on a laptop where I could link her PSN.
Then going back to steam deck, I get the error again.
Tried everything. Reinstalled for the 6th time now.
Tried a different Proton Version, even the newest GE.
I paid a load of money - TWICE - for nothing.
How is this Deck verified?!?! Why does it work on one deck and not on the other?!?

Leider ist das Drama un die Moddingszene noch nicht ausgestanden.
Nachdem OpenIV nun wieder erhältlich ist, hat Rockstar / Take2 nun das Projekt Liberty City in Grand Theft Auto V gestoppt.

So lange sich dies nicht ändert, keine Empfehlung!

The Forest ist ein Open World Survival Titel der sich zwar noch im Early Access befindet, aber auch schon weit gekommen ist.
Man kann Tiere jagen, einen Unterschlupf bauen, Fallen aufstellen und sich mit den Eingeborenen fetzen.
Der Multiplayer ist inzwischen ein echtes Highlight und macht unglaublich viel Spaß.
Die Grafik ist gut und der Sound trägt maßgeblich zur Stimmung bei.
Am Tag, wenn man auf der Jagd ist und die Natur genießt, kann man fast vergessen wie Gefählich die Insel sein kann. Dies ändert sich schnell, wenn man beim Spaziergang, plötzlich auf die lokale Bevölkerung trifft.
Ich spiele The Forest nun schon seit Release und verglichen mit anderen Spielen, muss ich den Entwicklern ein großes Lob aussprechen.
Nicht nur, gibt es regelmäßige Bugfixes, sondern auch neue Features. Ebenso gehen die Entwickler auf Kritik aus der Community ein und versuchen ihr bestes ein gutes Spiel abzuliefern.

Ein nettes Point & Click Adventure mit viel Rockabilly im Blut.
Nach der ersten Stunde kann ich sagen: Wenns so weiter geht wie es angefangen hat, ist es wirklich gut.
Es hat noch den ein oder anderen kleinen Fehler, den die Entwickler aber auch sofort angehen, wenn man ihn meldet.
