As someone whose favorite organization in 40K is the Adeptus Mechanicus, I was beyond excited and had high hopes for this game, and I was not disappointed. In fact, Mechanicus went above and beyond expectations. It's a great game for both marathon sessions and quick breaks, and is fun and rewarding to play. It has excellent theming, sound design, art, and mechanics, and does the Adeptus Mechanicus justice.

It is rare lately that I find a fantastic new game to play, but Mechanicus is a wonderful exception. I am also not one to play many strategy games, but this one is enjoyable, and challenging, yet easy to get a grip on. So if you have also found other 2018 games have fallen flat, I encourage you to give this game a try.

TL;DR: would definitely recommend, and I am sad this game isn't being talked about as much as other titles this year.

Pros:
+easy to learn, fun to play
+fantastic sound, graphics, etc.
+cool story
+excellent, immersive gameplay
+it is clear a lot of love was put into this game
+good introduction to the 40K universe, or great addition for current fans

Cons:
-none!

This has to be one of the worst MMOS I've ever played. The controls are clunky, the world is dead and doesn't encourage exploration (map areas are locked for too long and fast travelling doesn't work) the storyline is boring, cliched and vague, the leveling is broken, and the menus are confusing in this poor rendition of Middle Earth.
I don't have high expectations for MMOS, but this one is painful to play and I'm sure has Tolkien rolling around in his grave.
It may have been fun to play back when it was first released, but it is dry and uninspiring now.
That being said, it is fun to play if you feel like playing a terrible MMO with your friends for the kicks.

After hearing about this game (I can't remember where from), I decided to take a chance and play it, and that choice was definitely a good one. I would recommend this game to anyone who wants to try something new, and wants to do more on-the-spot thinking instead playing your average combat-filled games. The plot line is good, following a mock simulation of the Cold War Era and how foreign relations with the Soviet Union affected people. It does get frustrating at times (I sometimes wanted to smash my computer), but it really helps your critical reading and fast-paced problem solving. If you're on the fence as to whether or not to buy this game, I say give it a shot, because it's such an original and interesting concept that you'll be missing out if you don't play it.
