The Beginner's Guide: inside the mind of Davey Wraden

It's an interesting experience about game development, a bit like an interactive but regrettably fake documentary.
This projet is very short (around 100 minutes) but I got it in the humble bundle, so for as much as 1$ it's really worth it.
As a guy who like to mess with game engines just for my pleasure, I identified myself a bit in this journey, and it's intresting to see that videogames may not be meant to be playable or having a goal, but meant to be a bit of someone's own universe.

SE V2: Great visual effects.

When I play a shooter game, I usually take the sniper because I like to take my time when I end people's lives. So this game was the perfect match for me.

The story takes place during the WW2, and I liked making my way in the ruins, killing nazis one bullet at a time. One of the biggest particularity of this game is it's brilliant and beautiful slow-motion effect following your bullet and seeing the damages it makes at your enemies with a X-ray style. (Aim for the balls :D !) That was the first setting I took to it's max : you can choose the frequency of it so if you don't like it, not every lethal bullet is in slow-mo.

Moreover, I greatly appreciated the look of this game. Color sheme is fine, motion blur, the glare.. Just not convinced of the ambiant occlusion sometimes, but nothing inconvenient.

I appreciated this game all the way, so if you like the sniper class as much as me, don't hesitate, that's the game you're looking for.

Postal 2 : A great and funny game.

I bought this game on sale at 1€, and my expectations weren't really high : an old game with bad graphics, a bit weird scenario, but I already heard somewhere it was a good game, so I took it.

When you first start the game, you have nothing but one goal: go shopping, then go to work... OK.
Then I discovered that we could open our fly and pi ss everywhere. A big smile illuminated my face. Here you go ! GOTY ! This game is awesome and that's just a start. Doing the achievements was also one way to discover what the game had to offer: making a policeman eat a pi ss-soaked donut, cut in half people. You have a lot of tools to use, and I really loved the shears.

It's great to see devs listened to the players with the adding of achievements who weren't in the game when it released, and the htc vive easter egg is great too.

The only weaknesses of this game are the loading times and the crashes when you have too much dismenbered bodies, and also the final boss who was way harder in comparison than the rest of the game So no, I won't play the game in ultra-hard mode, I'm just here to have a good time

And that's what this game offer :a good time

IT'S GREAT BUT...

It's a very interesting game between Minecraft and Team Fortress 2,
Every game is different because the group can use a different strategy each time : shielding the cube, dig a trench, attack enemies by air or underground... It's very pleasant
Also for the beta part: when you've finished a game, you can't continue, you need to go in the menu and rechoose a new game, it's a little bit annoying.
The only negative point here is that it could be really awesome if it was a free-to-play like Team Fortress 2
