Why aren't more people playing this? Charming and challenging, and a perfect game for the Steam Deck.

This is Bill.
Bill sticks with his squad, and pings enemy locations. When Bill is driving a vehicle and sees a fellow infantryman headed toward the capture point, he slows down to let him catch a ride. Bill takes time to bandage and encourage his fellow soldiers.
When Bill gets shot, he makes dramatic dying noises. If a teammate is nearby, Bill lies on the ground screaming for a medic in agony, instead of instantly respawning while someone is literally running to save him.
Bill is smart.
Be like Bill.

I don't know why this game was Steam Deck verified. There's no controller support whatsoever, it's just painstakingly moving a cursor around with your right joystick or right touchpad because the D-pad is not supported at all, not to mention cloud save doesn't work on the Deck for some reason. It's a neat game so I recommend it on PC, but if you want to play on the Deck, you'll need a mouse.

In terms of a realistic hacking experience, this ranks at or below, say, Uplink or Hacknet (which it was clearly influenced by). A lot of the main mechanics simply don't make a lot of sense. But if you ignore that and enjoy it for what it is -- an incremental coding RPG with a low skill floor and a high ceiling that allows you to invest as much creativity and optimization effort as you would like, it's honestly very engaging. It's a great, entertaining way to practice JavaScript, and the tools and API integrations the community has come up with are impressive. No matter your coding experience, give it a shot and you'll have fun and learn something.

This is in the top 3 most high-level-programming-language-based games I'm aware of, along with Screeps (JavaScript) and else Heart.Break() (BASIC-inspired).

Something about studying, identifying, and organizing strange plants, solving puzzles in my cozy shop as something dark and dreadful stirs in the woods just hit a sweet spot for me. I highly recommend taking your time on this journey -- brew up some tea/coffee, take physical notes, label and organize carefully, and enjoy the experience. I spent about 9 hours to complete and wished it was longer; I plan on waiting until I've forgotten most of the plants and do another playthrough for a different ending.

Fingers crossed for a follow-up or additional content down the road!

It's a spaceship simulator grindfest, and more of a hobby than a game. Personally, I dig it, thank you very much.

I can't help but love this game. Cute animal characters? Board game mechanics? Multiple win conditions? Making deals and backstabbing? A great online community? Dice collecting? Yes please!

As a fan of logic/programming games like Infinifactory, I can see myself tinkering with this for quite a while. Minimalistically complex logic-puzzle program-optimizing goodness. Light enough to run on my laptop. And for less than the cost of a coffee and bagel. Nom nom.
