A well made colony sim, the game is designed around a large set of simple mechanics and has a strong emphasis on colony role-playing. the game also has a strong modding community allowing you to significantly customize your experience with the game.

This is a game designed for a very specific type of person, and for that subset of the population, it is very good.
If you are a fan of both slower paced real time strategy combat where information and tools really matter, hard science fiction in space (such as the expanse) and some build-craft elements such as the fleet construction, then this game is well worth the money.

Elite dangerous is not so much a space simulator as it is a spaceship simulator, and in that regard it does a good job, piloting and interacting with the various aspects of your ship is quite enjoyable, the rest of the game is fairly wide in its available activities but they are also pretty shallow, mostly existing as excuses to outfit and use your ship in various different ways as opposed to really changing how the game functions and flows.

A well made game with an astoundingly strong community willing to fight for democracy

Been playing since the 2nd closed beta, the finals has many smart design choices which keeps all teams fully invested in the match and having fun for the duration, the fast pace and all-or-nothing objectives mean that until the final 10-ish seconds, its anyone's game to win and enjoy.

One of my favorite games but does kinda rely on DLCs for a lot of replayability, many of the older but still good DLCs go on deep sales so if you're going to pick up the game id recommend grabbing it and a few DLCs then.

A wonderful built-for-VR experience, this was the first title ive played in VR and it left a fantastic impression, fairly intuitive controls, good performance, and its a visual treat.

It is not a perfect game.
but it is a fun game.

I have no complaints about this game, it delivers on its promise and it is well polished, best played with friends.
