DW has always been mindnumbingly simple almost to the point of satire, but the way they went about trying to push it into this streamer highlight boss-rush gameplay is so off-putting. I had high hopes as the Act 1 text kept underlining 'support your allies' which is a thing I always missed in these one-man-army games.

Turns out that supporting allies is endlessly rushing around the entire map, blowing up officers, only to do a 180 and repeat it 5-6 times before you get something resembling a breather, only to then see that one tiny red dot on the map is now killing your commander because it was scripted that way.

I was looking forward to NPC officers being capable of winning battles as per in-game text stating that "once a skirmish is colored blue, your allies will win without your involvement" only to see a completely isolated 2-on-2 fight slowly turn red, making me run across the entire map to see two enemy officers at 5%, somehow winning.

If you don't fall in love with the combat of this game, there's really not much reward in overcoming these mechanics. Unless of course you enjoy seeing men and women alike lust after a kpop femboy protagonist, because apparently the target demographic of this game is fujos.

A game so bad it made Mr. Tekken quit the studio. Actually hilarious that Street Fighter is now the only game worthwhile of this genre, unless you're content joining a Discord to play a 300 user game at 8pm for an hour every other night.

Another "my turn to earn an early retirement" indie game you've forgotten about in 2 months.

Battle Royale rug pull.
Sprinting is less idiotic than in 2142 but you'll still get insta-gibbed by someone sprinting/sliding away from you because it's not a common practice anymore to punish people who move too quickly in a shooter.

Netcode is ♥♥♥♥. If I don't die within half a second of seeing another person, I know that I might actually have a chance to kill them because we're seeing each other in realtime and they didn't start shooting before I could physically see them.

Half the challenges are broken and they're designed poorly. Want that one specific skin? Play this one specific game-mode. Want a variant of that skin? Exact same gamemode. 5 times in a row. "Vehicle kills in Battle Royale", the ♥♥♥♥ are you smoking?

I'm sure the game is good enough to unite BF1 and 2142 players, but that's not saying much. It's like CS:S and CS 1.6 players feeling CS:GO was just okay enough that they could finally move on.

- Complete mission objective
- ♥♥♥♥ around, 20 mins pass
- Die
- Last auto-save was before the mission
Gameplay is good and simple, as per any other Far Cry, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hell this was enough to make me quit. I wanna waste time in a ubislop game, not have my wasted time re-wasted by ♥♥♥♥♥ auto-saving and no option to manually save either. It becomes your #1 priority to make sure you've been auto-saved, somehow, by sheer luck, right before you engage in something worthwhile or god forbid, have to quit.

This game is infamous for its difficulty and the depth of its injury system. I beat it without dying and I am by no means a sweaty tryhard and I did play on normal. You'll only really encounter the same 2-3 kinds of wounds unless you deliberately sleep on the ground, eat humans and generally try your best to die.

That said: Great ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game. And cheap too. The base game is sectioned up in enclosed parts of the map that you deliberately choose to move on from, so you can play it 'sandbox' for however long you want until you're comfortable moving on. It takes quite a while to build even a single wall, especially if it's made of mud, but it's so, so rewarding.

The paranoia comes primarily from both having to avoid loud, chanting natives and completely silent, stalking predators. Once you're over that hump, it's as easy as any other survival game. The story is really good and it has an end, meaning you can beat the game and moving on.

The base story takes place post-exploitation of the natives and the medicinal herb at the center of the story. All natives are hostile (for good reason) and the map is dead and relatively empty. The DLC however takes place pre-exploitation, meaning there's tons of natives, most of them friendly, and you play on the same (fully open) map, meaning you benefit from having beat the main story but also get to play a more loose sandbox/Far Cry outpost clearing game.

It runs like ♥♥♥♥, but it's really good. The devs are all over the place, unreliable and terrible, but the game as it is now, at sub €6, is a must-own. ♥♥♥♥ The Forest, especially given Sons of the Forest. If you wanna play a real man's jungle survival, this is it.

First of all: This is ubisoft slop. It's an unlockathon like modern Ass Creed. Transmogs, equipment sets, unlock abilities etc. I'd argue it's done in a more condensed and narrative-bound way than AC, making it less open-world and more 'small contained levels' like Outer Worlds.

I'd suggest playing it with MKB over controller. For a fast-paced shooter it's incredibly difficult to get a proper grasp on combat with controller as several different keybindings are merged or poorly designed. It's a good game on a severe sale if you're into running around 100%ing collections or just want to play Star Wars that isn't demanding, given the best SW games in recent times are Souls-likes.

Buy it at >-50%. It's a very limited, small-scope indie city re-population game with the typical upgrade roadblocks and gathering tropes. It has a severe amount of bugs, specifically UI-wise. If you're not up for playing ball, this is a quick refund.

Dawg this ♥♥♥♥ sucks. Imagine landing a banger of an indie game and then just completely ignoring what made it great.

And then make sure it runs at 30% the expected fps.

Dev ditched his own Discord after being called out on not doing enough to stop the pedophilic grooming circles on here.

Then put up a plushie kickstarter.
