I'm sure it's a 'git gud' scenario, but the combat in this game is atrocious. No amount of tutorials can make this a compelling way to play.

Spending an hour trying to stealth my way repeatedly into a camp just to die over and over again to finally then be taken out by wolves on my way out. I wouldnt mind if the story was compelling but it's incredibly run of the mill and has nothing making me like or rout for the characters. If i hadnt passed Steams stupid 2 hour rule id refund in a heartbeat

If you are going into this expecting Journey To The West: An Elden Ring tale, you are going to be sadly disappointed. This is nothing more than a boss rush mode in a shiny wrapper. The combat is basic enough that you can literally get through most fights with 3 button presses (light attack, dodge, abilities)

The hit markers feel off and the camera in some of the more fast paced fights is the hardest part about this game.

If you are wanting a new soulslike, this aint it. If you want to just fight a bunch of bosses and feel cool doing so, I'm not sure this is it either...

Fighting for Democracy was a ton of fun!

Forcing me to link my Steam account to PSN or lose access is not fun at all!

If this was a day 1 requirement, that's ok but forcing it after being way past the refund period is an oversight at best, highly immoral at worst!

nice to see the quick turnaround from Sony. Sad to see it got to this point. Game itself is a 10/10 you should definitely play but be wary of future sony titles...

While the game is currently no longer for sale I would urge everyone to be wary of anything this studio ever attempts to bring to market again

Almost 7 hours of game time logged, not managed to swing a single attack yet due to the server issues.

Can't refund due to Steams archaic refund policy. Avoid until the server issues are resolved. Will happily update this review if I ever actually get to play the game but right now, Avoid!

Finally managed to get into the servers following the closing of queues and additional servers.

Put 9 hours straight into the game without any issues and honestly the loop is great. Definitely a lot to do and the levelling up of specific abilities based on usage is great!

Beyond the initial frustration with the servers this game actually has a lot to offer. If you can get logged in then I highly recommend trying this if you are looking for a great entry level MMO without the need for a subscription

Lost all my loot to said attempt
Spent 3 hours on an epic attempt to get everything back

10/10 would recommend!

For an Early access game this is incredibly expansive. The world is huge and has a lot of different connected mechanics that work perfectly together. Beyond the minor labelling of certain points in game (boss_portal_1) this feels more expansive than most full releases in the survival genre - The lack of reliance on PVP is also a bonus if you just want a nice community game. (PVP is an option if wanted)

Just set up a server to play this online and can't wait to jump in with more people - see you in another 300 hrs...

42 hours played. All achievements unlocked. Still tempted to go back in so I can play all over again.

This might be one of my favourite games of the last few years.

You start by crash landing on a planet with nothing. As with games like Minecraft etc. you take the simple items spread around the world and slowly build up a collection of minerals, ore, etc. that you then use to craft bigger and better things for traversing the world and finding a way to escape.

There's so much more to say about this game but I don't want to spoil any enjoyment for newcomers.

There are a few frame rate issues later on but if you search the forums you'll find a lot of guides to resolve. If you're happy to deal with these minor problems then you should definitely give this game a chance.

Outsatanding game. Managed to complete it in a couple of hours and enjoyed the experience throughout.

I think there was only 1 puzzle that ended up being blind luck in finding the solution but otherwise it was fantastic. well worth the £3.99 it's going for (I did get it for free but would be willing to pay for it)

If you like puzzle games and an enjoy the meta aspect of games like Superhot then this is for you!

Get my 1st ship. Rename all my crew and ship to swear words. Enter the vastness of space. Not know what the f**k I'm doing. Blow up!

Repeat constantly for what feels like forever. Make it to the flagship (finally!) Get ass handed to me!

10/10 - would fail again
