It's skyrim.

First off, Destiny 2 and all year one content as free to play... That alone is super cool. You can try out the ENTIRE game before you decide to buy more. So no sympathy if you don't like your purchase. Its not like you had any reason to be surprised...

Now for year 3 destiny, Its good. Not absolutely amazing. But I like it. Divorcing Activision was 5 years in the making. Activision was a huge ruiner to this game. I have not gotten to play with armor 2.0 but it looks very promising. I dont like that they left the microtransation store in the game but if that's all they do then fine.

The story so far is pretty cool. Nothing to jump out of your chair for... but also not "I dont have time to explain why I dont have time to explain." Bringing back the moon is a very good choice. A lot of OG destiny stuff in there. My only complaint is I already paid for Destiny 1. Why did I pay for a DLC on D2 to play year one content. That should have been free. The shadowkeep itself should be the part I paid for. As far as I know the moon is not free. A little disappointed there as well.

Overall, it is still D2. If you liked the last 2 years of D2 I see it as an improvement and should be another fun year in Destiny. Hope to see you guys out there.

Played half a match, got super hacked on. Will revisit when its not a hackers paradise.

First off, like a lot of people say, this game is not for everyone. It requires time and effort to get things done. And it has a lot of statistical things to it. If you don't like that steer clear because its not an action packed game like you may think.

Also, if you are hating on this game because you cant figure out how to play it then actually take the time to go through the tutorials. I have done them after a few years of playing this game and actually knowing most of how to do it and still learned some things. if you still cant figure it out JOIN A DISCORD or find someone to help you learn. I am part of a discord that specifically helps people with how to play. I will invite you if you want help.

Personally I like to play this game off and on. Its not one I stick with all the time. There aren't a lot of games like this so it is good to get variety in. That being said, you cant just play this game 30 mins to an hour at a time. It will take you a long time to get anywhere. There are a lot of deep mechanics that I still haven't fully learned myself. So if you enjoy long games, simulation type games, you should like this too. Don't get it and try to play on your own. it is harder that way and way more boring.

This is also not a PvP focused game in my opinion. It is one aspect of the game. I play in solo mode and haven't had any issues playing without PvP. Hackers are "kind of" an issue (June 8, 2019). I don't see the hacker playerbase being as high as people are screaming about. There isn't really a good reason to hack. This game would be boring as hell to hack on. Maybe to get something specific done? Idk, but the game doesn't seem ruined to me. People will cheat at anything if they try hard enough.

After 70+ in game hours the game crashed and it had a catastrophic efect on my game. I am now backwards about 30 hours of gametime or so. I wish I had never bought this game. Feel free to read the rest below, but it is more of the same.

This game was way overhyped by overkill. The game is basically payday 2 with zombies. The worst part about it though is that they didnt ballence the game at all. None of the guns function the way they really should and they basically have a single purpose. It makes it so you can only do one thing and you're useless otherwise. Humans are like zombies and tend to need shooting in the head rather than just getting a few body shots. Human hats will tank a handgun round (WHAT?!? Baseball caps stop bullets??? For real?) Suppressors break after about 12 shots or so making them basically useless. When you attract the hoard you literally attract a hundred zombies or so. In my 11.5 hours in game so far I have completed 3 missions. This is the tutorial mission, the second mission and a side mission. Progression in this game is basically non-existant. you have to be a superhero to even finish a level. Let alone be stealthy. If this review seems like a mess its because the game is a mess. So if that tells you anything...

Overkill... Fix this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game. The zombies are great other than you think that its totally cool to send 9000 of them at the same time. The total killjoy of this game is the human AI. they are literally shooting out of their backs. What the ♥♥♥♥? they dont turn and shoot you. they just shoot you. The human AI either needs to do less damage or take less damage.
Every single one of them is an absolute bullet sponge. If I wanted to play against bullet sponges I would play Destiny 2. A lot of people payed 60 bucks for this game. Fix it. It's unplayable. Btw, over 30 hours in this game now. Great that I havent finished the game yet. Absolutely moronic that it's simply because I can't get throgh the levels. I would rather have a game be too fast than too stupidly hard to play all the way through. What is this, Dark Souls? D2+Dark Souls = TWD. Why buy when you could just play either one of those? Stay away from this game until they fix this trash.

I came back to try the game again after two years of being away from it. I hated it the first time. It was a mess of unbalanced gameplay mechanics. It seems that the devs have worked on that and it is much more enjoyable. I try to stick to PvE servers so I dont know anything about PvP or the battle royale mode.

The game is fun in open play, especially if you dont really want a super hardcore game to play.
