I have no regrets and would have paid full price gladly. Gotta get all the endings

OneShot...I honestly don't even know where to begin with this game. I'm currently writing this review while going through my third play through. Let me start off by saying that the mechanics of this game, and its fourth wall schemes are by no means original, at least by concept. The only other game I've played with a similar play is Richard and Alice, and even then, OneShot takes that Out-Of-Game experience and brings it to a whole different level. Its no mere Top Down RPG with occasional breaks in "character" so to speak. As the description states, it knows you are there. It's fully aware of your existence, bringing you and our protagonist Niko to the same level. Two clueless souls who are each following orders from someone else. You control Niko, and our Antagonist controls you. its also fully aware that not only do you exist, but of your machine, and uses it to its own free will, sending you to scramble for clues straight out of the game. You want to talk about breaking the fourth wall?...You have no idea. Our beloved side characters are short lived, but leave a deep impression in you. I feel in love with the kids, my heart was broken for the Head Engineer, and Niko had practically left me feeling like I needed to take care of him, like he was a child of my own, and I had to help him every step of the way to protect him. They leave you and Niko with a sense of hope, that indeed you and Niko truley do have a purpose in this world, and it is counting on you two alone to save it. And the end has a...a shocking reveal, lets just say (im on my third run so who knows how it may turn out later). Oh, and believe me, this game has replay value, hell, you'll almost feel like you have to play it again, and again, and so on...This game has earned itself a place in my heart as one of my favorite games, and for good reason. So go ahead, give it a shot, but remember, you only have OneShot.
