This is brilliant, and really scratches that itch for more Portal.

You could have told me this was made by Valve themselves, and I would believe you, the quality is that high.

While I haven't completed the game yet, the story, music and art style are all phenomenal. The combat takes a little getting used to but it pretty basic and generally quite fun.

With Blizzcon 2023 behind us, the future of this game looks really good.

Monetisation is still pretty bad and likely won't improve, but is in line with or actually better than most other F2P shooters, and much worse than Overwatch 1 - there are no $200 skins like in Apex - the most expensive will be around $20, but this is still a significant cost if this aspect of the game is important to you.

5v5 is better than 6v6 was, especially for Tank players, and allows for more interesting and varied team comps, and abilities in newer heroes.

As of writing, it's still actively supported, with new heroes, maps and modes being released regularly.

As always, it's more fun with friends. Give it a go because it's fun, but be wary of spending money on it. The Invasion DLC is worth the asking price imo.

The amount of value this game provides is absolutely bonkers. You're not constantly chasing the gear grind where only the most current expansion remains relevant - instead, you literally have 10 years worth of content that's always current, and players are always doing.

This is the MMO that goes against the grain, and is a richer experience for it.

Absolutely amazing game, and a worthy sequel to the original. The use of non-linear layouts works wonders when exploring the mess that is people's minds, and the exploration of different mental hangups has always been this series strength, and Psychonauts 2 does not disappoint.

Supergiant Games continues its excellent track record of amazing quality games. Hades is no exception, and as of writing, can really be considered their magnum opus - it has an amazing gameplay loop that keeps you coming back again and again, and works in the roguelike death loop into the mechanics incredibly elegantly.

Indeed, even if you do end up failing, the overall meta progression makes every run matter, despite the eventual outcome. And for those that do struggle but want to enjoy the story, there is a 'God Mode' setting that makes the the game easier over time if you're struggling.

Also, the soundtrack is GODLY.

Action-packed a stylish, this sequel is well deserving of the praise it gets. The changing between characters is a great addition, and keeps combat fresh, though at the risk of it being a bit more of a struggle to feel like you're getting 'good' with a character.

I've played this for 500+ hours and have gotten all the major achievements. And I keep coming back. It's good.

Pseudo dark-souls where you whack huge monsters with musical instruments. How can this not be fun?

Battleborn is great. It really is. It combines a lot of elements, FPS, MOBA, and even MMO-like raids into one great package. With 25 heroes to choose from, and 5 (free) DLC heroes upcoming, it's a great deal.

However, there are a number of issues that need addressing - the low population means that matchmaking is absolutely awful, if you can even get a game. This may change if more people buy it, which I hope they do. From experience, it doesn't have the level of toxicity that some other MOBAs have, and that's a good thing.

If you have the patience to learn the ins and outs of an FPS-MOBA hybrid, you'll enjoy yourself. Just don't buy it if you're in Australia, you're gonna have a bad time.
