Been playing MonHun since 4U, and have thousands of hours across all the titles. (Except Dos and Stories etc.)

This game is about as easy as base world and rise. But so long as you can run it, it’s plenty of fun regardless, and g rank will likely bring the real challenge. If it’s your first time getting into monster hunter, this is a really good way to get into the series. You’ll get about 70-80 hours out of base game wilds, (unless you’re a completionist) at which point I’d recommend picking up world or rise on sale. Despite visual differences I’d say this game mostly plays more similarly to rise, which imo also has a superior multiplayer experience if that matters. However if you want a more classic monster hunter experience, I can’t recommend Generations Ultimate on the switch enough. Especially if it’s on sale (like it is right now for only 10 bucks.) That game has a bonkers amount of content, easily the most bang for your buck.

All that said, I think wilds is a really interesting step forward for monster hunter, and I’ve had a ton of fun. Can’t wait for more content.
