This game started off really unique and fun but riddled with bugs, a lot of which are now completely fixed along with almost all maps being completely changed or soon will be from their original designs or completely taken out of map rotation most of which are far more balanced now but no longer holds the same charm it once had at launch but it might still be there for new players. My biggest recommendation is if you have friends who want you to get the game and play with them is to play solo first or with friends who're also new to the game since map knowledge is extremely important given you can be killed pretty much in the first 10 secs of the round if you're playing against more experienced players. This game will always hold a special place in my heart though and i would always recommend it to people looking for different shooters to play, however i would not recommend it to people who're fans of older rainbow six games like Vegas since it is not as slow paced as they are even though i think they wanted it to be.
