The game is fun. Gunplay and movement is absolute mint imo. Loot feels rewarding, and will give you an edge against your opponents, but anyone can still kill/ get killed by anyone, no matter the difference tier difference in gear. That also means you can still reliably clutch a 1v2 or 1v3 by playing well. The quests have fun lore around them and actually give meaningful/ good rewards (at times).

The UI has some learning curve, but if you actually bother to pay attention to what you're pressing to get to the different menues, you'll get used to it fairly fast. same goes for the vast amounts of loot, granted mods, cores, implants etc still require reading to destinguish what exactly they do. But i feel like thats somewhat intended to slightly increase the vulnrabillity of the moments where you're looting.

My main concern for the game is the rates at which the game will introduce new content or events. Not that i want to compare the 2, but arc raiders does extremely well by pushing new events and content every other week or so. The ARGs are cool, but the majority of the playerbase probably wont interact much with it, me included (hope to be proven wrong tho).

There's way more to be said, but im not a game reviewer so i'll leave it at that.

TLDR, games good, UI has somewhat of a learning curve, and im concerned about the rates of content drop for the game.

im not saying dont buy the game, i just cant recommend it.. the game is good, no doubt, but i Hate 3rd person pvp, especially so in a extraction shooter. everything on u is on the line, and then it just ends up beeing a fight of whoever exposes themselves first looses. i dont see them changing it, or anything, but thats the main reason for why im unable to recommend it.
*I also think that the ranked trial thing needs either a overhaul or a complete rework. its fun that they try to implement some sort of ranked system to the game, but it doesnt affect matchmaking afaik. dont know how to improve it, i just know i dont like the current system. some clarification, i like the trials as another weekly challenge to attempt, but dislike the ranked leaderboard part of it. no matter the rank its completely random if u get put into a leaderboard where people get 100k+ trial points, or where people barely get 3 stars on each trial.

i love the arc and mostly like the enviroments. wish it wasnt all just sand (obviously apart from bluegate and stella montis which was added later). i could go into details about other minor gripes, but i find it strange that it didnt change during the pivot. This is written more so in the form of a rant, but it is also my actual thoughts from the getgo.

So far I love the game. I haven’t really touched the older stalker games too much so I can’t compare this sequel to the previous games.

I started playing a couple days after release and I haven’t noticed any large performance issues other than the rare freeze when entering a bunker that isn’t loaded yet (I’m assuming that’s the cause). I’ve only experienced a single crash so far which I’d say is decent enough after 26- ish hours of playing in varied length sessions.

In my opinion the visuals are stunning, both character models, weapons, etc and the environments. There are many moments where I’m just awestruck by the visuals of a lightning storm or other similar environmental effects.

The zone is very large with many new and familiar locations to explore with this entry in the franchise being open world. You’re never too far away from a point of interest, with some being marked on your map preemptively, and others being found by just exploring or taking on side missions. Also the issue of finding an empty cache because you haven’t found its corresponding pda yet is gone, they will have seemingly randomised loot when you discover them first, but I assume some have specific loot aswell.

The audio design is absolutely amazing, but also one of my main gripes. Atmospheric ambiance and ambiance music often just cut in and out and really just takes me out of an otherwise amazing experience. I’m hoping that’s a bug they’re looking into.

There is also no apparent reputation system, so you can attack almost whoever with close to no consequence. Like one post in the game I’m doing missions for the «the ward» faction, and suddenly their soldiers shoot at me so I think maybe I did something wrong and they became hostile towards me, but no, when I got back to a Ward location it was all good, and «thanks for your help». It’s not necessarily a big negative for me, but just something to be aware of if you’re a big fan of the reputation systems of the previous games.

TLDR; it’s an amazing looking and sounding game with lot of familiar and new locations to explore. Some minor gripes with ambient sounds cutting in and out, and the lack of a apparent reputation system.

Don't do alot of reviewing, but after the revoking of the PSN requirement i gotta help the review score.

im not good at going on about the details, but i think it's a good game in general... i would recommend it to anyone which would like a WW2 game or just a good FPS... possibly one of the best first person shooters there is to get...
