Frayed Knights shines in gameplay, exploration, character development, and humor. That's a lot of shining! Naturally, how much you like each of these aspects is a question of taste. There have been complaints about the interface but the keyboard shortcuts are customizable, and that really helps improve the flow. Make sure you consider that. Relying on just the mouse might lead some to a disappointing experience.

Also, there's a sequel in the works, which is for me an extra reason to support the developper by purchasing the first in the series.

A lot of praise has been given to this title for the writing, and rightfully so. The vocabulary and structure are an elegant delight to read and makes the intimidating undertaking of reading millions of words on a monitor before completion something to actually look forward to.

But TTON's strength also lies in the quality of the encounters. They are surprisingly imaginative when taken separately. As you'll gather enough pieces to form a story, it only gets better.

All of this is spiced up by interaction with alien tools and skills that get you through strange situations, refreshingly different than typical RPG mythos.
