You know what? I certainly think Max Payne 2's gameplay holds up after all this time -- but of course that's just a continuation/refinement of what they did in the original. Where I'm experiencing disappointment, as I remember happening during my first playthrough way back when it first came out, is in its storyline, character art, and general feel. As compared to the first, which for me remains the perfect blend of dark subject matter and humor, this one just takes itself far, far too seriously. Where the cutscenes in the original effortlessly mixed humor (mainly via Max's ridiculous use of metaphors) with heavy stuff, the cutscenes in the sequel just make me groan. It's even in the title. "The fall of Max Payne." So daaaark; oh, gimme a break!

Also they changed Max's face. Max's perfect face! How dare they.

Yea i have a PS3, my name on PSN is BeauMollet, and yes i tried Demon's Souls :P great game but the "World Tendancy" system is kinda broken :(
