Before buying, I had read a lot of bad reviews, but I bought the game anyway, so here I am.
As a fan of CS franchise, I must say, the CS 2 is not something I regret buying. Frankly speaking I bought the game nearly 2 years after the release, but as it is for now, I am moderately happy. I just probably did not expect much before…
As an experienced player of CK1, I knew the graphics would not be great. But I knew for sure that there would be great mods improving it (and even lowering FPS lol). So I just downloaded a couple of mods and fixed any problem that bothered me during gameplay, whether the graphics or a strange demand structure etc.
The optimisation is not bad, it just requires a decent PC. After a couple of hours of changing graphics settings (and installing mods) I managed to get 50-60 FPS and a good looking graphics.
You might say that this is not appropriate for the game you bought, and I would agree. But I played cs1 on an old pc, so I knew what to expect from cs2.
The only thing that still bothers me is a traffic. It could be better and less complicated.
