a very fun naval warfare game with strong fleet management and ship design elements that come together into a decent campaign experience.

i wouldn't recommend this game to anyone who does not at least have some interest and knowledge in naval history between the time periods the game covers, being 1890 to 1970.

i would also recommend joining the discord to ask questions and find out about mechanics that may be difficult to understand at first glance.

another thing to note, it is pretty pricey for what it is on the surface (very in depth game itself) but i would recommend getting it on a sale.

atlus never misses, game is a banger

saw a ton of reviews citing poor performance even on good rigs, though i never encountered this issue running at maximum settings (200%) and at 1440p with my 5800x3d and 6800 XT. sure it isn't hitting 200+ frames but 60 - 120 frames is perfectly playable but obviously is not impressive given the quality of graphics being rendered so it is still an issue.

- they COOKED with the music im telling you atlus never misses with it
- the UI just beautiful and immersive
- the combat is DIFFICULT (was playing on hard, can't play on the hardest on demo) and actually made me think
- the designs for the archetypes are all unique and look amazing
- the main character is actually voiced AND talks regularly!
- environments look unique and despite the less than stellar graphics, the art style makes up for it
- the VOICE acting is incredible, actually prefer using the english VAs instead of the usual JP for atlus
- story so far is immersive and interesting
- haven't encountered any bugs
- BEAUTIFUL animated cutscenes, and theres quite a few of them too! even in just this demo!
- so far, all unique and beautifully designed companions!

- downsides:
- not exactly 2024 graphics, especially in the wake of p3r
- performance can be middling for some and downright hideous for others it seems, I was quite fine
- camera sometimes won't keep up as fast as you'd like (eg turning around quickly)
