Updates to the game completely invalidated my charmer build. Encounters with forced party members (not added - replaced) and seemingly impossible to beat on non-tank characters are frustrating. Was heading in a good direction before it all went to garbage in laft few patches. Both Arena and the new quests are frustrating on glass cannon/teasing characters. Evasion does not work at all, enemies do multi hits per turn and hit everything. Mess only gets messier, and not in the "fun" way

Borked. Don't get in now, Rollbacks and Disconnects, you can lose whole map progression instantly. Connection not reliable even in instances now. Balance is VERY questionable too after the update (waited 5 months for this)

On the other hand, early campaign plays better

Actual best game of the year: low price, tons of content and weird addiction to rare chests ingame

Someone tried to parody the grindy games and invented a whole genre of AFK clickers

Still the best one, mechanics and strategies available are literally insane sometimes

The lo-fi music is glorious to chill

Only bad thing is I hoped the standalone would be much more faster than browser - but it's electron based so no luck, will eat the same amount of bitcoin-level power as the browser version

Actually a good successor to the first game since the most glaring issues have been fixed and there's still patches coming out. The gameplay is almost the same as first games except for new and improved artillery that is now an actual threat. Unit pathing and hitboxes are excellent unlike some other RTS (looking at you, AOE 3 remastered) and armies do not lose speed from unit collisions which makes raiding walls through the gaps actually viable

Performance all over the place, distant LOD is either atrocious or either 6 fps on a mid-range machine.
Gameplay is somehow borked with the only redeeming quality being the gadgets

Good game - still dead. Cheaters and sweats, 5k online, worst to start playing

Phenomenal ports of great games

I'm currently playing through Reach on a low spec notebook - and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ works just like it did on a console. Reach works better than CS:GO does, actually, which is insane. Control settings are great, visual settings have all the neccessities they should, including FPS lock.

Sound balance is somewhat weird, voices overlap everything else, and I can't hear my shield noise sometimes (this glorious beep beep beep beep OOOOOOOMMMMMMH), seems like the game prefers either headphone audio balancing or surround. But it's minor issue as I get to hear grunt squeals again in full glory. Nice.
