There's nothing I can say that hasn't already been said better by other reviews. Highfleet is for you if you meet any of the following criteria:
- Enjoy designing and refining ship designs for days at a time
- Enjoy strategy games
- You enjoy bullet hells
- You're into strategic micromanaging and budgeting
- You're a weeaboo but for tsarist russia
- You're a weeb but for the USSR
- You're a weeb but for the Levant
- You have been replaying Shadow President for 30 years because it's one of the few games where nuclear weapons come with consequences more than funky green flavored damage
- You fantasize about the WW2 pacific campaign
- Sexy Pytor Shahin Visual Novel 2023 working no virus download in description

L4D2 is a fantastic game that had a vibrant community for over a decade, and it's very quickly being killed by bad community updates. The most recent updates have been pushed by a small insular minority of the community to reshape everyone else's game to play by their rules. Vocalizer commands were removed because laughing in versus mode offended one of the developers, and outside of versus mode they were hit with a heavy cooldown presumably because a dev was angry people didn't take the game as seriously as he did. Besides changes blatantly made because of developer's bizarre dislikes, there were balance changes added changing the core gameplay that people have enjoyed for over a decade, and bugfixes targeting bugs and map oversights that resulted in enjoyable emergent gameplay such as grenade launcher jumping and laughing at your friend for taking the alternate route on dark carnival and getting huntered where nobody can get them.

Besides an adversarial relationship with the playerbase, the community developers appear to be wildly incompetent with the new patch resulting in widespread graphical glitches and exploits like crashing servers by using the voicechat, presumably because the devs only talk through discord to avoid having to deal with the community

In addition to the above issues, the newest patch breaks many of L4D2s decade old catalog of mods. Needless to say, it's unlikely someone who released a mod 11 years ago will update it to work with an update that only excels at driving older players away.

I can't possibly recommend L4D2 after Valve handed development over to a group of malicious codemonkies who see nothing wrong with introducing major changes to an 11 year old game

Just as good as it was on the PS2. Be prepared for post processing that makes objects very blurry after a short distance.

Gmod is long past its glory days and as a build anything physics sandbox it's hampered by a now ancient engine and developer apathy. Still worth playing if you have a dedicated group of friends to host a server tailored to your idea of fun, but diversity of gamemodes in popular servers is a shadow of what it once was.
