Absolutely spectacular. The only thing I regret is not playing this earlier!

As I grow older I have found myself less interested in new releases, but this one has been on my radar for quite a while (since it was announced in 2023)

I have to say, this is the best way to play MGS3 full stop. Unless you have a toaster, then you are probably better off playing it via emulation on the PCSX2 PS2 emulator.

Definitely worth my money.

Probably one of the best mods I've ever played for any game.

The best Counter Strike game (In my honest opinion)

Problem with it is, most servers are just "DUST2 24/7 NO AWP 16K CASH" and stuff like that, there is only a small handful of populated somewhat vanilla servers that you can play on but you still start with 16k and there are no AWPs allowed. Upside is you get to play on all the cool community maps in these community servers.

After spending over 60 hours playing this game, I'm finally able to write a review about it. I don't always write reviews for games, but I feel like this one deserves a review, I have a lot to say about it, some good, some bad... I enjoyed the game myself despite many others disliking the game.

Let's get started on...

Gameplay
Let's start off with gunplay, it feels like Borderlands or Destiny 2, it's great and has a sense of heaviness/heft to it, shotguns, power rifles, and hand cannons felt the best to me, with good sound effects... what matters most to me is the feel, in this case, it feels good.

Movement is pretty standard with the usual WSAD controls, but they need to add the ability to rebind the dodge key, double-tapping WSAD to just dodge an attack isn't very practical for me or anyone else on PC I'm sure, would've been better to make it ALT or something.

Driving is okay, has a loose feeling that reminds me of GTA V, some cars were unbearable to drive but I mostly drove the Quadra Turbo-R throughout the entire game and that felt decent, however I will point out the map is way too zoomed in, and because of that I miss turns, not a good thing but I'm sure the devs will fix it soon.

The hacking element in this game is nice, being able to turn enemy sentries on your side to assist you while in combat is helpful and makes things a bit more interesting than just waltzing in and blasting everyone guns blazing... disabling or hacking cameras gives me a good insight on what I'm about to deal with before going for a stealth option, but I never really used it unless I was planning a stealthy way of dealing with the enemies, I usually go in guns blazing.

There is a flaw however, one of the many I will discuss in this review, and that is there is no reason not to go in guns blazing. Why would you waste your time trying to sneak around picking off enemies one by one when you can just get your gun out and kill everyone, I feel like the devs should've made the enemies alot harder or add reinforcements (Like in Far Cry) so stealth could be considered a viable and useful option when approaching a mission... I just feel like the game is too easy (I played on Normal difficulty), because of this I blasted through the game's enemies like butter.

Graphics and Optimization
Man, this game is damn gorgeous. One of the best looking games I've ever played. When I played through this game I never used the fast travel, I just drove where I needed to go instead of fast traveling because I loved driving through the city, driving in the night, under the rain... around the city blazing past the highways, strolling through the streets, oftentimes I'd stand by and gaze at the world, sometimes when I look over the city from a vantage point, I take my time and just admire it. They truly created a beautiful world, and it's breathtaking.

However all this comes at a pretty big price... on my rig (RTX 3090, Intel Core i9, 32GB of RAM) I got 60-80fps while running the game with RTX on ultra, everything else on High, and at a resolution of 3440x1440, this game beat the hell out of my computer. but it ran okay and it was pretty smooth for the most part (at times the game would dip to 40-50fps).

BUT... while the game is beautiful... and while it's graphically impressive... I have a lot to say about this next topic. And not very good things either.

AI
The not so breathtaking part of the game. The AI in this game killed the immersion for me. We were promised 1000 NPCs with daily routines and schedules, but instead we get something more akin to CARDBOARD CUTOUTS. This is the reason why Night City isn't the living, breathing world they advertised, it feels dead and fake, like an illusion. The moment you throw a grenade into a traffic jam every single person, at the same exact time, exit their car and panic. The moment I park my car in front of an NPC's car on the street, they don't drive around it, they just sit there and create a big ass traffic jam. They behave like they are on rails or something.

The enemy AI is pathetic and I'm not surprised, it seems that most games nowadays have the dumbest brain dead AI and this game is no exception. They do nothing but shoot, take cover, shoot, take cover waiting for you to pop them in the head, and the melee enemies just charge at you and whack you while you wave a gun in their face.

The Police is easily the worst part about this, I was expecting so much more for the Police system, there are no car chases like in GTA, no... you can just evade them by getting into a car and driving off and they automatically forget about you. And to top it all off they just teleport behind you whenever you commit a crime. So if you are in a secluded area like the rooftop of a building and you snipe a civilian guess what... the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ teleports behind you. Yep, makes total sense CDPR. Such a disappointment.

Story and Characters
Minor Spoilers

While the game has alot of flaws and half baked ideas and gameplay elements, the Story is easily the best part of the entire game and the one thing about the game that that kept me interested and invested through the experience.

This game has a wide cast of various well written likable (and very dislikable) characters. Throughout the story and the various side questlines like Panam's, Ward's, and Johnny's you bond with these characters and form a friendship. (or more than that if you decide to romance them) All of these characters are believable and feel real, like real people.

Johnny is a ♥♥♥♥, but he is the best "imaginary sidekick friend" in a game I've played in recent memory, everytime he talks I listen to what he has to say, I actually pay attention to his dialogue more than anyone elses and is anything he is one of my favorites, if not my favorite character in the entire game.

Panam's questline was my favorite in the entire game, getting to know the Aldecaldos like Panam, Saul, Mitch (just to name a few) was one of the rememberable highlights in my entire time playing a game, it felt genuine and real like I made friends in the game, after I finished the whole questline I wanted more.

It is a linear story however, you aren't really given much choice except for the end of the game. In a game where they advertised "Your choices have consequences" this was a let down but I still enjoyed it nontheless, CDPR did a superb job on the story and the characters, easily my favorite part of the entire game.

Side Content
As for side quests, I enjoyed alot of them, but there is alot of cookie cutter side content.

The Gigs and Cyberpsycho Sightings shotgunned all across the map are boring and repetitive as ♥♥♥♥, I did everything in Watson, Westbrook, and the Badlands, but after a while I just frustrated and just ignored the gigs. This is Ubisoft level boring. This is the thing bothered me the most in Cyberpunk 2077, to think this game was made by the same people that made The Witcher 3, a game with interesting side quests like the various monster hunts, where you had to track them down, I remember the Noonwraith quest in the beginning of The Witcher 3, it was just as good as anything from the main story. Here? Most if not all of the copy and paste BS in this game was forgettable and unenjoyable.

There were alot of quests that I did like in Cyberpunk, like the character questlines, the races, the fist fights (Beat on the Brat), the Peralez questline where you had to investigate the death of the mayor, Lucius Rhyne , the River Ward questline, the Judy questline, all of this is great rememberable content, but the Witcher had more, alot more.

Conclusion
This game, was a terrible CDPR game. But generally... a great game, just a bad product by CDPR. I expected much more. But I loved it, I just wish they implemented the missing content that they promised... but I feel like it was rushed, this entire game.
