I've played this game for 12 hours now and it essentially boils down the extraction shooter genre into its purest form and builds an impressive PvE single player loop out of it. It still feels like a challenging extraction shooter despite being PvE only (with difficulty settings), and BECAUSE it's PvE only you get to enjoy all of those mechanics without having to deal with constant playerbase toxicity and sweat.

The looting->extracting->base building loop fairly addicting and loops quickly enough to easily pick up and put down. Most extraction games are slow, have long matches, and demand huge time commitments before they click for people. Ducktov avoids all that, which is pretty cool for people with busy lives who would otherwise probably never get to actually have fun with an extraction-style game.

Still the best Battlefield

An excellent art-house short-story horror game. The PS1 visual aesthetic lowers your expectations only so it can blow them away with triple-A sound design, art direction, and genuinely f*cking terrifying scenarios.

It's like 10 dollars dude. Go see for yourself.
