I wanted to enjoy the game as the style, controls, and environments are all compelling. Unfortunately the controls are janky and the combat is tedious. The game feels like a hack n slash but plays like a Souls-like. When it works, it works well, and it's a thrill to be zooming across the wasteland. However, taking any sort of damage snowballs combat and movement into a frustrating slog.

Not to mention I've skipped entire dialogue sequences, both story and optional, by playing the game like a metroidvania and exploring the map. The story bits are optional but some bits are scripted and it's confusing to be thrown into a story I wasn't aware was there.

Smitten with this series of games. I could spend hours looking for all the different Capy's. My only complaint is how short the game is! I loved the music and setting, esp the night version of Stained Glass. The lighting made the whole scene magical. I'm looking forward to playing this again in the future.

10/10 perfect game. I could zone out and search for capybaras for hours. The style is unique and cute as hell, and I want more of it.
