Unfortunately, this game tries to be too many things and does all of them poorly. I don't know if the dev couldn't figure out what they wanted to make, or was too ambitious with the goal of trying to merge a bunch of genres, but it didn't work.

You play over several days, where each day is Wake Up, Shovel Snow, Stock Shelves, day of Super Market Sim, Lock the doors, night of Observation Duty meets That's Not My Neighbor, go to bed. You do this for 7 days... which by the end of day 5 you're really hoping you're almost done.

The supermarket mechanics are just a stripped down version of that with the occasional NPC event.
The Observation Duty/That's Not My Neighbor is very simplistic, and not particularly fun. Also if you screw up That's Not My Neighbor you get to play hide and seek which is also just... not fun.

During the game you'll make choices, these affect your ending. There are 3 endings and you need to do a full playthrough for each of them. The game does not feel worth 3 playthroughs.

Gameplay loop aside, the game runs terribly. It's poorly optimized and hung up every time you'd hit a checkpoint. I had to put it on low with a 5070ti to get it to run smoothly.

Finally, the advertising images on the store page at time of posting do not match the gameplay experience.

The is one of those games that you absolutely should play. Its one of those experiences that really shows what gaming as a medium is capable of.

Its short and to the point, very well done semi-walking sim set in an underwater lab. The story is a little generic but interesting enough I was excited to find notes and read them. It kept me stressed and shaking from anxiety the whole time.

My biggest critique is that it felt a little too easy for me

The devs did great with this game. It's deeply inspired by classic RE and leans into it in the best of ways. They have cheesy writing and hammy voice acting in a charming way and the story is, while predictable, engaging enough to keep you interested.

I could personally do without limited saves, but it didn't feel oppressive on Normal.

The Valko team has done it again. While the game only has 1 map and 2 major monsters (plus Dave) at time of writing the game is fun, scary, intense, and feels worth playing over and over. We know they're going to add more in time, and I'm excited to see whats next!

I wanted to like this, but its really unenjoyable. At best you get a moderately competent game with no real gameplay and at worst you get broken unplayable messes.

Blind Faith works... but you walk to 4 points and hold right click and that's the game.

Chalk Skulk is an interesting concept, but the controls just don't work randomly (not the demon knocking your character unconscious, this is before it even spawns)

Cult of Ascension is an RNG mess with abilities that just flat out don't work.

Hallway Paradox was a neat idea, could probably be a full game but it'd need a lot of reworking from the scares, writing, sound design, etc.

NULLand was unplayable with how the sensitivity randomly changed and the slider for it did nothing.

Rewind is where I gave up, I interacted with everything in both the normal room and the tape room and couldn't find a way to move forward in the game. It could be cool, or it could suck, but I don't think I'll ever know.

Crashed a lot, decent game but not worth the crashes as of July 3 which apparently started with the pre-dlc patch. Check back later if the devs fix that.

A solid entry into the lethal-like genre. It's silly, its scary, and it'll take you a while to understand it. It very much feels somewhere between Nightcrawler and Godzilla (1998). It worked with minimal technical issues, with us only having 1 case of a monster getting stuck in an animation loop that they eventually broke out of. There's some room for improvement, such as individual volume sliders and an option to turn off your own voice echo indoors.

It's a great price, grab some friends and go be silly, you'll have a good time.

Aggressively fine, definitely needs more content but overall its a perfectly acceptable lethal-like. At time of posting its probably about 2 hours of play before it'll get stale but if they keep updating it'll be worth more time.

I lack the capacity to describe exactly how amazing this game is.

-It captures the old school horror vibe
-The puzzles are satisfying to solve
-It has a decent story

Overall I love it and if you even think you like horror games you should pick it up and play it

I need to go back and play hard mode
