Neat little game, but my issues with mouse movement prevent me from recommending it. There is what feels like mouse acceleration on all mouse inputs, whether free-looking or ADS. Fast movements are over-exaggerated while small movements are barely registered. Messing with in game sensitivity can somewhat affect this, but not eliminated. This greatly affects the ability to aim and "get good" via muscle memory, and is simply frustrating

I would like to see a "Raw Mouse Input" option on this game, but on forum posts related to this issue, the developer insists that there is no mouse acceleration, or any sort of input filtering, so this will not likely happen. (It is real, its obvious by tracing mouse movement with a ruler. Not using mouse acceleration on my OS).

If you use a controller, or if mouse acceleration in games does not bother you, its a pretty cool Co-op focused WWII game.

How a re-release/remaster should be done. Original art style up-scaled to modern standards with the gameplay left intact, for an affordable price. 10/10 classic from the PS2 era.

A Runescape idle game that is fun to idle while I idle my real Runescape account.

That being said, if you've played Runescape before, this game translates the skills and combat to the idle format quite well. If you have not played Runescape before, there is a TON of content in here that will easily confuse you. However, Melvor is structured in a way that allows you to take your own path and train what you want, while also tying the other skills into each other.

Idle games are generally a slow burn grind, and this is no exception. If you want to be paranoid during your long grind, there is also a Hardcore mode with limited bank space and permadeath, which I am using for my main character.

If you like Runescape, numbers going up, and delayed satisfaction, this is worth checking out.

It's unfortunately a step down from the flash games I know and love. I would rather pay money for those on steam. Although this game is... okay, it's just sorely lacking in comparison.

Early Access Review
Urb and the team appear to have some great momentum currently. Classic mode has come far, and steam integration is a nice sign. Campaign mode is a good break from wave defense, however it could use some balancing changes in my opinion. Good to see a new mode in either case. Sound design is far better than its flash version brother. Still rough around the edges, but promising.

This is an early access review. Take this with a grain of salt as always.

This is not a "season pass" as most would recognize it. This "season" covers content within a short time after release but this would have been hard to know at the time of my purchase. Most DLC is an additional purchase.

May be worth the purchase if on sale for less than $10USD.

So this is a 2 part review.

To start, this is an enjoyable mud crawling game or simulator if you want to call it that. It gives you an open map to explore and reveal, and a handful of trucks to choose from with more to find in the map. The physics feel good and driving through the mud is fun for hours. Your over-arching goal is to gather logs and deliver them to the log mill. The paths you take are up to you and they are generally risk over speed choices (but speed of completion doesn't effect your game, which is really important in a game like this where you want to take your time).

The history between this game and the original game (Spintires) has an interesting past which is a little too much to put into a review. Putting it shortly, the current developer immorally acquired this title and quickly announced DLC and a sequel soon after the release of this game. This sequel was recently announced to be an Epic Games Store Exclusive, immediately turning their backs to the community that built them. Its a blatant, shameless cash grab that the developer(s) have no response to.

PC Gaming as a platform doesn't need to be divided by excluding players from where they can buy their games. Do what's right.
