Thought I'm done with cards, but they pulled me back in.

Odd. Original part hold up, but additions - they drag on. It's like a fan product, with different vibe, though they both go meta, but sense of humor is so off, I had to sit through whatever fanciness they came up with. Original was quite a whole game, but I somehow wondered if I wanted to revisit it via sequel.

In the end, I'm just not finding all the post-meta-modernism so alluring, since sure it shifts attention into new terrietory, and provides different PoV, but eh. Maybe I cared more in 2013, and that Wait 4 years achievement worked. But I'm not so sure about 10 years one, but oh well, let's give completionism a chance to fullfill.

Initial nice impression reminds me opening up a bunch of of DOS or Spectrum games and having no idea what to do, because they were all pirated and I didn't have a manual. I just appreciate the vibe of discovery, like figuring out which one is cool, and which one requires manual to save some sanity.

Scratched the surface, and it feels like grabbing a chest of toys, like true 50 in 1 unlike those Dendy cartridges with like 10 repeating ones.

I'm just wary of actually setting up an emulator with complete platform library where I would get lost completely, and this is like a fresh take on that experience, but manageable.

If this one gets a Steam Workshop it could work.

Going in blind and exploring is good. All I knew it had good reviews, which turned out just right amount of info to know beforehand.

Sometimes controls are fiddly, and platforming isn't as tight as it would be on a single planet, but overall it's an exciting world that's tied up. It's not overwhelmingly perfect, as there are no voice-overs also. But it brings me memories of Parkan, and I feel comfortable in this solar system.

Was looking for language learning games, this one seems to be targeted just for that, and I'm at A1 (when click-through dialogues work better than live speech), but problem is the story's writing looks subpar, and I feel like playing a generic point-and-click. And it lacks double captioning in 2 languages, which works exactly in cases when my vocabulary is lacking.

Also it's not well made. It lacks a feature of saving words in personal dictionary. And travelling from one place to another - there're no shortcuts like an in-game map, you can't even double-click to skip the walking. Interface for opening doors is tedious - SCUMM adventure and such fazed them out for a reason - here basic "look at" doesn't offer good dialogue that would make me curious to look at everything, so there's no point to have it as a separate option to scroll through every time I switch between talking and using. It's disengaging. And If I'm not engaged - simply watching animation wits Spanish dub and captions would work just as nice if not better for diving into the language.

It could be a good solo learning tool, but for game to actually be enjoyable I'll have to either play with a teacher or manually check the dictionary. Quest logic plus walking times are tedious already, and adding a language wall on top of that - something gotta pay off.

Animations are nice, but the art-style just generates a craving to go back to Kyrandia, when I didn't know English but just enjoyed doing whatever.

Vibe is right to play through locally or with remote play, and we easily completed it in 10-20 minutes with a partner.

Timeless masterpiece, finished it long ago and it still has infinite replay value with mods and custom levels.
