This is the best FPS I have ever played period!
I love it like no other FPS. A game usually doesnt get me emotionally. This one does.
I get sweaty hands, I get exited, curious, anxious and rewarded like a hero.
Okay so to explain what this game makes different I tell a story:
Imagine you are the last one in your team. You have your gun and a clue where 2 enemies could be.
Your whole team watches, and give hints where enemies might come.
"Get back a little bit RPG maybe incoming", I hide, and reload since i have no idea how many bullets are left in the mag.
I shoot through the smoke, have I got one? Dont know, because the HUD does not show kills.
All the responsibillity lies upon me. Be careful, what could be the next step?
Smoke passes away. Aight it's probably the right time to engage. Got 2 of them. "Nice shot bro" "..thanks"
Okay I`m there at the checkpoint. Time passes slow as I stare at that door, listening. I think i heard one. No.
Still waiting, checkpoint almost taken. Done. "Good job" from a few teammates.
They respawn, i feel like a hero.

You dont really get the difference by watching videos about this game. It's a immersion.
You dive right in as you play and feel the pressure.

This game is awesome, but it could be a lot more awesome. I will list some pro's and con's so you can imagine why i love and somethimes hate this game.
Pro's:
+ really fast paced
+ fun music to play with
+ very nice to look at, cute chars, nice fan art, ... just lovely, and brutal at the same time
+ hell of a drug. when you finally see the "Victory" at the end of the game, you feel like you owned them and you are the king of the hill. If you loose, you are going to feel bad and might not want to play for a while. This game is a bad teacher and a hard game.
+ short games 10-40 minutes (for me thats awesome, im not the guy who wants to dive in a really long story, not anymore)
+ even the bot matches are really fun.
+ they constantly work at this game. Patches, chars, functions etc..
+ was really cheap

Con's:
- matchmaking... you cant invite from chat, you cant choose between hosted games. You can host, or get invited through steam, or you can join a random game really quick.
- Its a tactics game where u have to communicate to have a fun experience. there is a ingame chat, but no voicechat. I've played once with friends in a teamspeak and it was a whole different experience.
- hitboxes. I have never seen a game where bullets depending from what character having different hitbox sizes.
you have this snipergirl (called ..uh..raylen?) then your snipe is going to hit at a range like the beam from independence day. It feels like they could aim at the opposite direction and hit you. makes just no sense.
- balance is bad. It looks like they even out the balance with every patch, but I think it just gets harder the more characters they add.

So where should this review go?
More the type with awesome lines from characters with an 13^37/10 rating afterwards?
Or just one awesome quote with infinite/10 rating?
Maybe the "just buy iiiiiit - no regrets bruuh!!!11!!" review?
Or the "not bad" ascii picture?
A cooking recipe because "nuff said bout tha game"?

Wirklich sehr cooles spiel. Da ich wirklich viele derartige spiele spiele, kann ich sagen, dass Rayman Legends eins der besonderen art ist. Es war nicht umsonst lange so preisstabil. Es steckt wirklich eine menge liebe in dem spiel und jung und alt können es zusammen spielen.
Was mir besonders an dem spiel gefällt ist die stimmung die rüber kommt. Die Musik in verbindung mit dem lustigen comic look und den animationen zieht einen mit in die Stimmung rein, so dass ich lachen muss wenn ich nach dem 10 Versuch etwas zu schaffen wieder den gleichen Fehler mache.
Das spiel ist nicht wirklich schwer, was es aber schwierig macht, ist es zu zweit..dritt...viert zu spielen, da man sich gegenseitig einfach stark einschränken kann wenn einer nicht schnell genug ist oder jemand dir den schirm weg schlägt auf den du springen willst, ..oder die plattform für sich verschiebt und die anderen spieler missachtet.
Wenn man dann alles synchron erledigen will und den gleichen weg geht, versteht man so allmälig dass man entweder besser mit seinen spielkameraden auf augenhöhe ist, oder sie unterstützt. Manchmal ist man fast schon gezwungen nur unterstützend dabei zu sein. Bei manch anderen spielen bin ich enttäuscht und gehe längst auf die Barrikaden wenn ich nur eine unterstützende Rolle spiele. Hier aber nicht, aus irgend einem Grund macht das sogar Spaß :)
Ein weiterer Pluspunkt ist imho. dass es sich wunderbar für speedrun's eignet, nicht nur weil es sich schnell spielen lässt, sondern weil es auch einen großen wieder-spiel-wert hat.
